Get ready for an intense Warhammer 40k battle report! Two forces collide in a dramatic struggle for supremacy. Will the fanatical Witch Hunters hold their ground, or will the bloodthirsty forces of Khorne overwhelm them in brutal combat?

Witch Hunters were a curious faction - very little long ranged firepower combined with almost no close combat punch outside of their 'crazy' units - none of which generated or were able to use faith.

You did pretty decent damage with them in melee all things considered though.

I played them mostly in 5e so transports, flamer/hflamer sisters with divine guidance, suicidal melta immolators, exorcists.

Outside of mechanised the seraphim and twin-canoness squads were good but sucked up faith at an unsustainable rate I found.

There were rules in 4e for zealots (not in the codex) that might interest you if you plan on sticking with a melee force.
White Dwarf 292 or there abouts. Cheap bodies and hidden eviscerators, and the only 'chaff' unit the sisters had for screening back then.
