Hey peeplz, so somewhat inspired by the arks of omen in WD I finally caved and decided to make a chaos-marine army, I had actually wanted to a long time ago but couldn't settle on which of the three (four?) I preferred (never really liked plague marines tbh, so had to choose between vanilla chaos/subfactions, world eaters or rubrics/tzeench and neither of them appealed enough to make an entire army out of (\/-__-)\/ I__I (tableflip)
Anyway, so with the new and best chaos god entering the fray; the arkifane' and reading about Czagra and his bronzewrought emediately had me buy a (too expensive) box of Chaos marine tyrants but considering they don't have too many options (nor any mechanical arms -_- ) I was looking for some kitbashing mats.
I think ill order a warpsmith today but was wondering what other (not too expensive) kits would be good, there's sadly not a proper (non expert/finecast or out of stock) iron warriors upgrade pack of any kind (not going to pay 30ish bucks for a single transfer sheet either lmao)
Was looking at the legion command upgrade set (horus heresy) but that one isn't availible in my country so would have to order it seperately + customs sigh
Also looking at grey knights paladins because atleast they have a servitor skull while also having some potential to be made into extra tyrants (?) if I cut off a few details here and there.. not sure though so thought to ask if anyone has experience in kitbashing those'
Any other ideas are welcome, I naturally mainly need -mechanical parts/arms/backpack upgrades- and chaosy servitors (if they even exist, wish there was a mech bits box like there is a skull-box grr)
Kind regards and thanks in advance.
-Helveine.

Hmm, I remember Kromlech (for example https://bitsofwar.com/search?controller=search&s=bionic)
having a lot of servo-bits for Marines, Anvil industry as well
( https://anvilindustry.co.uk/exo-lord-bionics#/pageSize=6&viewMode=grid&orderBy=0) , but I'm not sure if they were all upgraded to the new scale, yet.
Within the GW framework maybe look at the HH Iron Hands range, but I just browsed it and didn't find as many servo arms as I thought . Some nice techmarines that could work as Warpsmiths, though.
3D printed goodies should be available as well, but I'm not into that.

Yeah I have a thing against finecast, all expert kits are that too..
I find it nigh unworkable, only piece I ever painted of it was a dnd beholder (probably doing another soon as a comission piece)
Didn't know anvil industry site, bookmarked it but not sure if thats hard plastics or the floppy printer stuff.
HH had that really cool upgrade kit which I couldn't find in my own country warhammer stores grr, would've bought that otherwise.
Keep ideas coming ;o

Anvil and Kromlech are all resin. It's not finecast and neither is FW.

If you're not using resin at all then you're pretty much screwed.
GW is the only company that I know of that uses soft plastic for its kits and there aren't really any other "major" companies that do the same kind of thing GW does in hard plastic.
The only real option you have is to scour eBay or GW-bitz sellers to find what you need.

Perfect Shot Dark Angels Predator Pilot

The other option is to cut plastic tubes with a diameter of 1mm and below into appropriate length to replace the upper/lower arm of the marine, keeping the elbow guard.
Additionally, the hell blasters kit has two bionic arms holding a plasma pistol.
EDIT: The HH mechanicum robots have some spare parts which can be used as well, Incase you know someone willing to trade this may be a comparably cheap option

Don't know anyone actually that even buys warhammer in the first place out here.
Hm, cheapest options so far are the sororitas ministorum priest and a tech priest enginseer of the adeptus for some somewhat decent mechanical bits but would I really want to pay 40 bucks to get some bits to spice up just one of my iron warriors.. eghh

got a good servitor skull ( GW if you read this start selling servitor skull kits!!)
