TMG have a new Kickstarter on the go.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/troublemakergames/smallscale-plastic-terrain-kits-v-stl-packs

The idea is to have an all-in-one modular plastic tabletop solution, for creating neat lookin' gaming layouts.
Plus, a new terrain sprue (a project done in collaboration with Mantic Games) that's compatible with the existing TMG scenery range.

Looks like a good way of adding some more Warpath Industrial sprues to the collection as each pack only had 2 sprues originally.

Hopefully they add the option to add on more Urban Street sampler packs I don't need a 4x4 layout but would like to add a 2nd set but can't see an option for that.

Well then, a new Add-On pledge for Sampler packs has just magically appeared.

For the Urban Streets panels, each sprue has eight panels on it:
Four 7.5cm x 7.5cm panels, and four 15cm x 7.5cm panels. Plus some side strips.

Meaning each two sprues produces a table surface area of 30cm x 45cm (well, slightly over that, once you include the side strips).

.

For the Warpath Industrial panels, they're either 5cmx5cm, or 2.5cmx5cm.

Oooh 3" for the basic size, that's proper. I assumed it was 2" and was wondering how 22 sprues can cover a 4x4.

We settled on that size as they're both pretty decently sized, but also small enough to allow for loads of modular potential when spread across a whole table.
Glad you approve!

Today's Campaign Update:

Campaign Update: Over £1000 on the first day. New STL files for the Scatter Terrain Set.

Hi Backers and Watchers!

We've had a great start to the Kickstarter campaign, going over £1000 in just a few hours. With a funding target of £7000 and 19 days to go, that's very solid!

Thank you for your support so far then, lovely humans!

Today's Update adds some funky printable Streetlamps to the Scatter Terrain STL set.

Thanks again for your support so far everybody, and please do share our Campaign wide and far on your Socials, so we can make it to (and past!) the funding target(s)!

The industrial sprues, like your earlier sets, don't seem to have many 6mm scale details. They might work as blocks of machinery for a 28mm game.

How about the street tiles, can you show how they look with a 28mm figure on them?

Definitely, the Industrial tiles are very scale-agnostic.

Pretty comfortable, I think?!
(Figs on 25mm bases)

So the tiles can make for main highways for Epic scale games, and single lane city roads for 28mm.

Huh, I can definitely find use for those street tiles for 28mm scale stuff.

Nice, I was just about to start on some city ruin buildings from Archon, these streets seem like they'd compliment that aesthetic perfectly.

Huh. On the flip side, those images make the details of the pavement part of the tiles look like it will actually be a bit big for 6/8mm...

I've only backed for a sampler set for now, so don't mind taking the gamble but less sure about these now.

Also, looking a bit closer, it could really do with a second set of the side strips per sprue. I'd personally be thinking these would work to just make roads with pavement sides that you could then place down independently from the other titles if that makes sense. Maybe using the other tiles to make some flat building areas to mix in with the plinths. Does that make sense? Maybe some extra edging pieces could be included as an STL if nothing else?

I'm planning of getting at least 2 more strips onto the sprue, it's just a matter of working that through with the factory right now, as to how many more we can fit.
I'll also make the strips available as STL's, with some different designs too, good idea.

I've attached some quick renders of how the roads look with the use of our plinths and buildings as well, plus some tanks and IFV's for scale.

Today's Campaign Update:

Hi Backers and Watchers!

We're currently over 20% Funded, so here's ten more STL files to add to STL Set D.

Going forward, we'll look to start adding some of our STL designs as add-on resin options, to give physical kit backers something else cool to paint.

Thanks for your support so far chaps!

Oh awesome, that sounds good!

Thanks, it looks great together. Still think the pavement slabs are quite big for the scale (the big squares being basically tank-sized), but maybe that's just me. I'm sure it'll grow on me.

I imagine the bigger slabs as poured in-situ rather than produced elsewhere and shipped in.

But smaller slabs probably made by extremely boring servitor-types somewhere. 😁

Wow these guys are a blast from the past for me. I remember when they used to have a smaller scale victorian martian invasion line of miniatures and rules. Seems they moved in a different direction.

I literally have a stock of Timeline 300 models sitting a foot to my right, at this very moment!

We withdrew the game as the price of metal rose so much, but we'd love to return with it one day, perhaps in plastic?!

Yesterday's Campaign Update:

Hi Backers and Watchers!

We're over £3000 Funded now, wow! Thank you for your support so far everyone!

To celebrate, here's another STL to add to the Scatter Terrain STL set - A non-nuclear Generator;
Pretty, innit.

Thank you again for your support everyone.

If you could continue to share the word at your gaming groups, share us to your Socials, and yell "SMALLSCALE FIVE!" at random people in the street, that would all help us reach that full funding target...

Hi Backers and Watchers,

Welcome to the new week of the Campaign!

Today's update brings a new vehicle to our offering, the Civilian Mass Transporter.

At 7cm long, it's pretty chonk (this is definitely a real word, don't let anybody sensible tell you otherwise).

It is available now as a physical resin add-on pack, and has also been added to STL Set D.

See you tomorrow!
