Greetings Dakka!

This thread will focus on Umbra Turris news, updates and discussion.

To start with, the Hobgoblins: Apostles of Gehenna Kickstarter campaign has just launched! Here's the link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spellcrow/hobgoblins-apostles-of-gehenna

The campaign focuses on 15 hand-sculpted resin Hobgoblin miniatures – sold in the sets of 3, so you can grab from 3 up to 15 minis, depending on your wishes and budget. It also gives you an option to play Umbra Turris Skirmish Game 3rd Edition – every pledge includes free English rulebook in PDF!

The campaign describes what is Umbra Turris Skirmish Game, what you need to play, what are the game supplements for and what are the plans for the future of the game in case you want to jump in.

If you like skirmish games where you need to ponder on your roster sheet, use cards to trick the opponent and simply have fun playing with very unique miniatures, this campaign is a perfect start!

But it's also wonderful for passionate miniature collectors and painters who simply like this kind of minis and want something different.

Here are the 28/32 mm scale miniature sets to grab in the campaign:

You can add amazing add-ons with miniatures of other races, like Orcs, Dwarves, Halflings, etc to your pledge. Examples below!

Not to mention boxed game supplements with cards and minis (some of them shown below)

Update #1!https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spellcrow/hobgoblins-apostles-of-gehenna/posts/4272264

There are some incredible add-ons which you can add to your pledge during the campaign. The miniature sets from these add-ons are also available on the Spellcrow webstore, but only in the Hobgoblins Kickstarter, you have a chance to grab each one of them for a special price.

An option of adding these add-ons will be available during the campaign only.

Below are a few examples of the available add-ons for you to see (there are 28 in total)!

One of the Goblins sets – all miniatures are one-piece.

One of the Thargomind Dwarves sets – miniatures have separate weapons. The stone and the shield are separate too.

One of the Orcs sets – all miniatures are one-piece.

One of the Halflings sets – two top miniatures are one-piece. The bottom miniature has separate hand with the dagger.

One of the Wood Elves sets – all miniatures are one-piece.

One of the Northern Dwarves sets – all miniatures are one-piece.

One of the Gnomes sets – both miniatures are one-piece. The R symbol (for the Rare Races) here concerns the 4th Edition of Umbra Turris Skirmish Game where Gnomes will no longer be a common race, meaning you will be able to have a maximum of 2 Gnomes in your party.

Rare Races (R)

The one and only Tigerians set – the miniature on the left has separate tail and the miniature on the right has separate tail and hands with weapons.

The one and only Voraks set – both miniatures are one-piece.

These are only a few of many add-ons! It's possible that their photos don't display fully on Kickstarter, so feel free to view them on the webstore – https://www.spellcrow.com/umbra-turris-c-99.html

Welcome our Dear Customers & Fans of our games!

The time has come for a summary of 2024. Thank you for another exciting year together!

Those who follow Spellcrow social media and saw the updates here on Dakka know that we launched a Hobgoblins: Apostles of Gehenna Kickstarter campaign. It included 6 new Hobgoblin models and a few that were previously presented. This small crowdfunding campaign was funded, for which we are very grateful to all backers. The latest Hobgoblin models that you could grab during the campaign will not be available for normal sale. It is possible that they will become available as add-ons in one of our next Kickstarter campaigns, but it will happen in those later ones.

The next Kickstarter campaign will feature Orcs in 28/32 mm scale, launching at the end of January. This will be another small campaign during which you will be able to buy fantastic new Orcs (including the never-before-seen models below) Some of them will be available only during the campaign.

The further campaigns will cover Humans in 28/32 mm scale (including Unruly Mob models below), as well as Wood Elves in 28/32 mm scale sculpted by Gary Morley.

Unruly Mob – hand-sculpted Human miniatures in a 28/32 mm scale

Work on the 4th Edition of Umbra Turris Skirmish Game is taking a long time, but everyone who wants to play will have the opportunity to play the 3rd Edition, which will return to our webstore in PDF format in the first half of January.

In January, the card supplements for the game – Magic, Terrain & Quest – will also return to sale – with a new graphic design. The 4th Edition of Umbra Turris will premiere only when we are sure that it meets our expectations. Unlike Argatoria, the rules for Umbra Turris are way more complex and contain many elements that require a longer amount of time to be tested properly.

The new year 2025 will bring a lot of joy to all fans of both Umbra Turris 28/32 mm scale range, as well as Argatoria 10 mm scale range (check Argatoria News & Updates in News & Rumors for more info). We can’t wait to share with you more news, see your painted armies, played games and, most importantly, give you more miniatures!

The whole Spellcrow Team wishes you a Happy New Year playing, partying, chilling, eating or anything you’ve planned for the New Year’s Eve!

The figs look nice! The visual style/asthetics remind me of Confrontation. Were the sculptors and creators of the game fans of it by chance?

Many members of our team were truly impressed with Rackham's miniatures and collected a lot of them over the years. Over time, these models became a natural source of inspiration to our sculptors and painters.

The rulebook is 100+ pages guiding you through basic rules of movement, shooting, combat and magic. It thoroughly explains how to create your unique party of heroes by picking the race/races, the Alignment, professions and equipment for each hero. It also briefly introduces you to the lore of Umbra Turris Universe.

Grab it here: https://www.spellcrow.com/umbra-turris-3rd-edition-rulebook-2025-pdf-english-p-1188.html

It's finally here! A refreshed 2025 version of the Umbra Turris 3rd Edition Rulebook in English has arrived from the printing house, ready to premiere on our webstore – https://www.spellcrow.com/ –today.

The rulebook is in a hardback cover, A5 format. Inside, you will find a colourful gallery of miniatures and smooth black & white pages with rules and revised wording. There's also a completely new lore introduction, where you will learn about the Sheol-morg invasion on the Ancient Lands.

It also means that we are able to ship the final rewards from our funded Umbra Turris Orcs KS campaign. We expect to send all of them by June 10th (Tuesday) at the latest, closing the campaign in full and getting ready for the next one – check "Argatoria | News & Updates" to find out more: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/815334.page

Here's also a bunch of photos of the finished miniatures that were WIPs during the Orcs KS campaign. It took us a while to finish some of them – we wanted to make sure it will be a joy to have in your collection. This is why, for instance, the Mage's helper gained a stick and a vulture sitting on it (to assembly). We have also shown the completed Pirates, which we are really proud of and hope you like them as well – see pics below.

And here's, again, the new Umbra Turris blisters with Orcs sets inside.
