So as far as I am aware, omega marines are only mentioned briefly two or four times. I know that they have black and white armor, but there's nothing about their home planet, successor, primarchy .etc

Anybody have any ideas why that is?

They have been around since Third edition and were in the Battle For Armageddon Codex from 2000.

So I suspect like hundreds of other chapters outlined by GW over the years they are simply filler for the greater background…
