Hey guys

So I got into the aesthetic of the SW'. I know controversial but I'm in deep at this point. I picked up the Index for 10th (as there is no codex yet). And I picked up the Combat Patrol

I am a bit confused. When I go through the index I noticed there are no intercessors in the Index at all and no reavers. I already have a separate set of Hounds of Morkai. There is also no index for the Invictus battle suit. Am I supposed to also buy an index for General Space Marines or am I not allowed to use these units in Space Wolves any longer? Can someone please help me understand? Additionally am I supposed to play these intercessors as Blood Claws then?

My first game is tomorrow and I really want to get this combat patrol ready to use. So any help would be appreciated.

So, you need the regular Space Marine Codex to play your Space Wolves.
That should fix your issues.

Space Wolves use Codex Space Marines for all non-Space Wolf specific units. Space Wolf specific units are in Index Space Wolves. An army can only contain units for one Space Marine Chapter, so you cannot combine Faction Space Wolves and Ultramarines in the same army.

Note that some detachments may further limit the units you may select in them. Champions of Russ cannot include Tactical Squad; Assault Squad; Assault Squad with Jump Packs; Devastator Squad; Command Squad; Apothecary.

Intercessors are completely acceptable in any Space Wolves army.

Not controversial to the people you want to play. You like what you like.

IF You are playing that Combat Patrol AS a Combat Patrol (A related but different Game ruleset/style) - https://assets.warhammer-community.com/warhammer40000_combat-patrol_spacewolves_thoryk'svoidhunters_eng.24.09-3jevnizpiu.pdf is what you need. The datasheets for combat patrol are different than the datasheets for "normal" 40K.

If you are playing them in "normal" 40K where you have 1000+ points (about double or more of your combat patrol) you'll need to have a Space Marine Codex as the Space Wolves are (Codex) Space Marines + Space Wolves (supplmental) when your "Codex" drops for sale, it will be designed to partner with the main Space Marine Codex. You'll be able to take most of the stuff in the main codex and all the stuff in your supplement. You can use all the Dets in either as well.
