So, I started an army of them a few months back, and for some damn reason the Command Squad and the Heavy Weapons Squad have been sold out the whole time! And I'm pretty sure they were sold out long before I started my army... The basic Catachan squad has been in stock though, although I noticed it wasn't in stock today. I fear they may go the same path as the aforementioned specialist squads, doomed to 'temporarily out of stock' purgatory... for some reason they restock Sly marbo though? I dunno about that. Well, this made me think, are the models getting removed/replaced? They just got new rules and they used the photos of the out of stock kits for them in the teaser article on WarCom, so I doubt they are honestly. What's the likelihood of them getting restocked? I've checked and checked and it seems they're sold out in every country and region on the GW store.

It's most likely just that they've gone overboard in producing new Krieg whilst at the same time a new focus on the army had people scooping up what catatchan were left.

Do use the "email me when supplies are in" button on the GW Website. From what we know they do use it to influence their restocking

It's not uncommon for GW to be out of stock on items, even for long periods of time. Frustrating I know, though I don't think it means that Catachans are being delisted.

If Catachans were getting squatted then GW wouldn't have put them in the current codex.

I'm personally hoping that Catachans will get a glow up (including at least a new Infantry Squad kit) in the 11th edition codex. Sooner would be nice of course but I can't see it happening before then. We may even have a plastic Straken and Sergeant Harker then. Cadians had their turn in 9th, Krieg in 10th, so Catachans next.

It's probably just as likely that Catachans will be squatted in 11th edition but I live in hope.

The chance of Catachans getting squatted is pretty small. Its more likely you're in a dry spell, or things are getting reboxed etc. For example, I'd say better than 60% of the Space Marine is also out of stock. Maybe they're having supply chain issues again/still, maybe its for the rumored Space Marine 2.0 launch.

They’re still pretty popular or they’ve stopped making new old kits because they’re refreshing the line in 11th

Wargames Atlantic also make "space nam" sci fi muscly troopers, not sure if that'll help ya.

Yeah I tried doing that, hopefully it works. I always need an excuse to buy more metal guys to fill up the ranks anyway, maybe this is the sign

Yeah GW really isn't the most reliable when it comes to restocking certain kits. There isn't much of a demand for Catachans anyway, and even with the codex certainly not enough to warrant a full rebox, I think.

Yeah I see those a lot when looking up inspiration, they look nice but really don't feel like Catachan to me. More like Vietnam war StarCraft marines. Plus I only play in my not-so-local GW store, and I usually like to use official minis

Reboxing isn't really about popularity, its usually about replacing the booklet that comes in the box. If weapons/non-decorative bits or stats etc change they have to swap out the booklet.
