Call of duty has had a weird thing with making America the villain, like we went from task force 141 taking down middle eastern and Russian terrorists, but sliding in some America is evil stuff, to having black ops just gak on the CIA and calling them evil, they don't even have the country flag cosmetics anymore, it's like some 14 year old lgbbq girl made a script for some Trump hate (this is not political or any hate to a group it's just me saying how it feels and what my opinion, I'm talking to you mods) I hope they bring back the foreign terrorism.

People get tired of WWII retreads and so the CoD series branched out to everything from sci-fi to underhanded off-the-books missions.

The Tom Clancy series of games liked PMCs to be the villains (Tom Clancy's HAWx had a PMC attack Chicago).

The winds of storytelling will blow in a different direction once players grow tired of the current narratives.

yeah, Tom Clancy has some of the best games out there, ghost recon and R6 will always be in my top 20 games

Hey, at least CoD didn't have those totally improbable scenarios, like the US siding with countries like Russia or North Korea against other independent, democratic nations.
