on the forum. Obviously

I'm going to assume this is an April's Fool joke, because this is pretty absurd.

Good. Realistical looking paint jobs are cringe.

Bring back brightly coloured everything. Neon Tyranids. Gold Necrons. Dazzle camo Space Marines. I want it all!

Can I just add neon orange tips to the barrels?

I lack the patience to read through it all, but the linked EU articles are certainly what they state, so either it's an April Fools piss take of a hypothetical based in real law, or they've skillfully linked some close to, but not related legislation and made a prank out if.

This is honestly both close to the line at a glance and that "fact could be stranger than fiction" zone imo.

A really well crafted April Fools joke. If you go to Annex I Part 2 of the first linked document there is an exception for detailed scale models, although they have to be marketed as 14 years or older.

Due to recent painting events in Romania, Germany, and France, I've heard that the EU has decided that only left handed painters will be allowed to participate in painting competitions from now on. I'm not sure how this might be affected or interact with the new regulations.

Also historical games will cease to exist if that were true.

I mean, the ToP article is clearly an April Fools, the EU article isn't....

Imagine the uproar though if that were the case that you couldn't paint the guns in realistic colours, Things would be a lot more colorful

Well, if any of you are old enough to remember the days of lead miniatures...

Dave schooled me on the actual know risks of lead miniatures (ie., nil), and dirty NY politics (messy, as one might expect of *any* politically motivated ban ordered by an double-salaried environmental protection "czar" under fire for his double salary and close political relationship with then NY Governor Mario Cuomo…), and a reportedly messy NY divorce (soon to be ex-wife allegedly accused soon to be ex-husband of making their children ill from letting the kids play with dad's painted lead miniatures) that said NY environmental czar caught wind of and jumped on as a pretty transparent IMHO cynical attempt to deflect the heat over his big at-the-public-expense paycheck.

Gee, thanks. New York being New York as usual.

I haven't seen any 10-13 year olds playing historical wargames with miniatures, so how would marking those at 14+ affect them that way?
