We're at that exciting time again, where we can now show you which book we will be releasing next!
On Bloody Ground - The English Civil Wars is set between the series of conflicts that took place between 1642 and 1651AD, and having been fought between those loyal to King Charles I and those loyal to Parliament, to which caused great strife amongst society, as many were divided by the sword.
After many, many playtest games and lots of work on army lists and characters, we are happy to say that this is a big step forwards, and opens up lots of new periods that we can cover in future On Bloody ground releases!
We also have a section that shows an example of how to list build, as well as the shortened stats that we use for our own lists here at
WiP HQ. On top of that, with the introduction of new black powder weapons, the character creation sheet has been updated to include new options to create lots flavourful commanders and characters that were very common during this conflict.
This period specific rulebook includes six army lists:
- Early Royalist
- Early Parliamentarian
- Scottish Covenanters
- Montrose Scottish
- Late Royalist
- The New Model Army
Pre-release details have been added to the website today, and remember, all pre-orders are guaranteed to be posted out on the same day that we receive the new stock from our printers, which means that most will arrive well before the rulebook goes on general release.
