Can anyone help me figure out what's going on with my priming? This one is GW white, but I've had similar issues with Retributor Armor, too.

I’ve only seen that happen when the temperature is too high. Almost like the primer is drying as it hits the model. If its above 85-90 degrees I would wait until it cools off to prime models. I'd also do it in the shade if possible.

Try to strip the model before it fully cures. Less scrubbing.

Spray priming is a balancing act with temperature, distance, humidity, and luck. If the vibes are off in the wrong direction you can get fuzzy primes.

Weird. I've been spray priming in New England weather for nearly 25 years, and I feel like I've only recently ever experienced this.

I get this a lot in Florida. It's when the humidity is pretty high.

I wasn't joking on another thread about priming at 5 am.

Can temperature is more imprtant than ambient temperature for this. I store my spray paints indoors in a bedroom closet and never have a problem priming in hot or cold weather because the cans (and the paint inside) is room temperature. If you store the cans in a garage or toolshed then you need to be super careful they aren't too hot or too cool.

I ended up with a bad prime like this last year, and it was from spraying while it was too humid out. Mine wasn't as bad as the OP's though (my condolences).
