Do orders issued to Regiment units apply to any attached leaders or command squads?

I noticed today that the Cadian, Catachan and Krieg command squads do not have the Regiment keyword. By contrast, the Scion command squad does. As well do the Tank Commanders have the Squadron keyword for their orders.

This seems to me that at the very least, those three command squads cannot order themselves if not attached to anything. But do they gain the order benefits when attached to a Regiment unit? Does this also apply to other attached models like Ogryn Bodyguards, Commisars etc?

Depends on the wording of the order.

As a rule, any unit with 1 or more Regiment models is a Regiment unit. If the order says something like “models in the (Regiment) unit …”, then all models in the unit are affected.

On the other hand, if the rule says “Regiment models the unit …”’ then only the Regiment models are affected.

Note that the orders listed under Voice of Command are all “models in the unit” and therefore affect attached models as well.

Iirc when you attach command squad to unit it's gain all keywords from unit, a regiment keyword also. So all orders affect units.
