Hi Guys,

I remember a cool xenos race used by the Tau and others as auxiliaries/mercenaries.

They were large humanoid frogmen and were called Galg.

However if you look up the Galg on Lexicanium or Warhammer wiki today, they will tell you that Galg are multi-tentacled amorphous blobs, very different than humanoid frogs.

Does anyone know what happened here? Did GW overwrite the Galg lore with something newer?

Cheers
Kroem

Probably, yeah. The amount of minor Xenos races mentioned across the last forty odd years of 40k is staggering and even background writers will struggle to keep up.

And those are just the ones that we hear about; there's likely loads more in the background that never get released to us but have bit of description; maybe even art sketches etc..

Plus sometimes these ideas evolve within a team/design environment so X becomes Y slowly over time; but we only see X and Y so they feel like rectons/changes without any flow between them.
