I still have a lark just thinking about old army lists that I used to see, and was playing around with what I think is a possible list for 10th edition.
I'm just wondering how decent this list would be in general? If its not "competitive" would it at least be decent against other lists with a similar "just throwing together an old list in the new rules" kind of mind set?

1 Captain - 80 points - Warlord, Plasma Pistol, Power Fist

6 x Tactical Squads - 140 points each. 10 marines. Sergeant with plasma pistol & power weapon. 1 Lascannon, 1 Plasma gun.
6x Razorbacks - 95 points each. Hunter Killer Missile, Storm bolter, Twin Lascannon.

I don't really know what "Detachment" would be good for this army so I haven't picked one in mind. I just like normal "battle company" style armies so this is fun for me. Feels like it can hold objectives, take down threats, can be mobile if it needs to be. Any thoughts?

You should be OK? Obviously depending on how competitive local scene is. You have a lot of boots on the ground and the tools to get jobs done. But probably not the most effective/efficient options. So will be fighting an uphill battle against someone using more of the tools available to them.

Keeping my head stuck in the old ways, would assault or veteran or devastator squads be good to throw in? go down to 3 tactical squads perhaps?
