I have some hesitation about gallowdark carton board. I'm clumsy and earlier or later spill cofe/beer/coke on it. Is there some alternative to it? May be some think like zone mortalis board?

If you have a mate with an FDM printer you can whip one up. I used files from a dude called Orchitect.

Also has the advantage that their walls are magnet compatible, so makes setting up different layouts easy too.

I’ve been experimenting with a replacement for the Gallowdark board, since the cardboard tiles can be a pain long-term. I like to use FLG Mats — they’re made from that mousepad-style material, so they don’t slide around, lay perfectly flat, and are super durable.

The tricky part with Gallowdark is that it isn’t standard Kill Team size (30"x22"). It’s this weird in-between size, so you can’t just drop in a regular Kill Team mat. I found that the FLG Spaceship 1 mat (link below) works really well as a thematic replacement. The detail fits the vibe of Gallowdark, and being on a flexible mat makes it way easier to set up and tear down compared to cardboard tiles.

Has anyone else tried subbing in mats for Gallowdark? Curious what other options people have come up with.

There is local guys who do gallowdark mats(I think there is 3 variants) but I want something of plastic or resine if possible.
Does anyone try using zone mortalis ? Or its squares do not compatible by size with gallowdark terrain? Like by few cut and connect to appropriate board.
