As well as being crippled by the curse of the plastic I'm sadly also inflicted with cars as a hobby. So, for my new custom SM chapter I've decided to try and incorporate some of my car hobby within the paint scheme.

My favourite racing livery has always been the Gulf racing scheme, obviously from the Le Mans GT40 back in the day! For those not inflicted with this curse of a hobby this is the scheme that I am referring to:

However, when it comes to 40K schemes I always prefer a dark, gritty scheme which is a bit of a contrast compared to the bright livery scheme. So, I am looking help at putting together a scheme that can bring these two elements together.

The GW paint scheme from the Renegade knight is the closest I have found so far that comes close to combining the two but isn't quite there for me:

Looking forward to hearing suggestions!

You can take any scheme and weather it.

The knight looks more of a pale green then a powder blue.

How much orange do you want? Shoulder pad? Arm? Quarter/halved scheme?

Tertiary color white or black? Going black would help grimdark it up.
