Hello!

I’m trying to print a piece of scenery I designed, which is essentially a rectangular building with a projecting cornice running around the base on all four sides, but every time I try to print it the corners of the cornice bend upwards, pulling themselves off the supports and causing the whole bottom edge to be curved.

I’ve tried printing it both flat and at various angles, and tried printing the four sides separately, but get the same result.

It’s obviously some residual stresses in the corners and I was really hoping that printing the four sides separately would have reduced that, but it hasn’t and I’m running out of ideas, so time to appeal to the masses!

I’d appreciate any hints or advice?

Using an Elegoo Mars 2 Pro with their standard photopolymer resin.

do you have image examples?
or screen capture of what supports look like.
slicer settings?
bed properly levelled, how old is the FEP?

Bed is levelled and I’m using the same settings in Chitubox that I use on other prints, haven’t had any issues outside of this particular model. I’ll try and get some pictures later. The membrane is a few years old, so that was going to be my next step in troubleshooting, but I thought I’d ask for other ideas before I go through that faff.

depending on how chunky it is it could be a matter of insufficient supports due to greater suction to the fep, or modifying the exposure and lift speeds.
Early on in the learning process, I had issues printing my thicker vehicles, two different times deformed in the same area not having enough supports.
But also didn't account for needing different lift height and speed to give it enough time for the print to fully peel from the fep.

Ok, interesting, the model is about the same aspect ratio as the resin tank, so it’s about 75% of the width and length, so it could be the lift height
