From hot wheels or some such I have found in a bag. The Star Destroyers (old and new) and Mon Cal cruisers are comparable sizes to BFG ships and the bases are in between cruiser and battleship...
So clearly a series of linked games beckons about the Imperium overrunning an independent human with minority xenos empire.
Ignoring all the in universe fluff stuff (but BFG ships are bigger etc.) what rules and stats would give a star wars feel to these things?
General rules
No teleports, instead tractor beams.
Make a teleport attack on an unshielded ship. If successful in it's next movement phase it cannot turn and max and minimum speed is reduced by 5cm.
Ion cannons
Fire like lances but if hit unshielded ships do one critical hit each instead of damage.
Rebel fighters
Fighters -A-Wings Fighters speed 35cm
Bombers - B-Wings, normal bombers
Torpedo bombers - Y-wings, torpedo bombers but use boarding torpedoes (to simulate ion cannons)
Fighter bombers - X-Wings - Ork fighter bomber rules
Hyperspace - instead of moving the attack wave to instantly appear anywhere on the table not 15cm away from an enemy ships.
These can be purchased as part of the fleet list in addition to being carried by Mon Cal cruisers

What does the new (bah) star destroyers have over the old ones?
Currently looking at something like 30cm weapons batteries, with F/L and F/R arcs.
So say
20cm speed, cannot use come to a new heading special orders
5+ armour/ grand cruiser 10 hit points
Port Weapons battery Left/Front 30cm 6
Port Ion cannon Left/Front 30cm 1
Starboard Weapons battery Right/Front 30cm 6
Starboard Weapons battery Right/Front 30cm 6
Dorsal launch bay 4 fighters/bombers
Mon Cal
How did these compare to Star Destroyers?
