Hi everyone!

Hope your weekend's been going well so far. Just recently had my friend group's early gift exchange before things get too hectic with the Christmas season approaching us and one friend ended up accidentally getting me a couple of Warhammer items that I already had but he didn't know about. He gave me his online order slip for the items he bought through the WH store online and I wanted to know how GW's policy is for me to go to one of the nearby Warhammer stores to exchange the two gifts for some of relatively similar value in the store. I heard they're usually pretty good with this but I'm not sure if things have changed and from what I can see online it looks like I can do this, but I wanted to make sure before I make the drive out. Anyone else have a similar situation recently?

Probably best to ring the store and ask them directly. Or ring Customer Service if you can’t find the number for the specific store.

Normally you just need the receipt/proof of purchase. Don’t think they do cash refunds. But the rules might vary territory to territory depending on local consumer rights and that.

At my local GW, you can exchange a shrink-wrapped item for anything else of equal value without a receipt, no problem.
