Just came across some solid news for anyone following Warhammer 40K games. Rogue Trader is officially landing on the Nintendo Switch 2, and this is not just a straight port.

What stood out to me is how much effort is going into adapting it properly. The developers are focusing on performance improvements, smoother turn based combat, better UI scaling for handheld play, and overall quality of life upgrades. This matters a lot for a game that leans so heavily on systems, menus, and long tactical encounters.

Another interesting angle is accessibility. Rogue Trader on PC can feel overwhelming at first, especially for players who are newer to CRPGs or to the 40K universe. The Switch 2 version seems aimed at lowering that friction with cleaner controls and a more streamlined experience, without dumbing the game down.

From a Warhammer perspective, this is also a big deal. Rogue Trader is one of the deeper narrative driven 40K games out there, with real choices, consequences, and faction politics. Bringing that kind of experience to a mainstream console audience could pull a lot of new people into this corner of the universe.

I actually saw this coverage on Prism Media, and what I liked was that it focused less on hype and more on what changes are coming and why they matter for players.

Curious how people here feel about CRPGs on handheld consoles. Does this make you more likely to try Rogue Trader, or do you still see this as a keyboard and mouse kind of game?
