When I was a kid 2001ish there was a poster hanging up at my local GW. I remember it being GW’s nod to the tragedy of 9/11. It depicted a Space Marine helping a child out of rubble. The mother of the child had a bolter in her hand.
It sounds silly but GW had a huge impact on my life. I was heavily influenced to join the Marine Corps because of the Space Marines (I know cliche). But I have always tried living my life with the spirit depicted in that picture. I did 13 years in the Marines and with my civilian job I have unfortunately seen a couple mass casualty events which I again unfortunately partook in. This sounds ridiculous but sometimes the job can be exhausting and difficult, and when things get too much, when the walls come crashing down and the world stops making sense, I look back from my memory of that picture for comfort and motivation (at least what I remember of it).
I have tried to find this picture for years now and can’t. Idk if it was a commissioned picture or if it was legit. But does anyone remember this or have it stored so I can save it? I know this picture existed. It would mean a lot. Thanks guys.
