It’s been a while since I posted much of anything on dakka. I’ve been busy though, just not posting it all.

This I thought you might like to see though.

A very long time ago I decided to strip my old Orlocks.


They had this horrible Green White and Red thing on and I never liked it.


So they went in the dip and got stripped. And I believe that was fully five years ago, and they’ve languished in grey primer since then until I managed to get them bit by bit onto the painting handle in the last few of months and I’m happy to finally be able to say they’re all now repainted.

Great work on these. I have a great nostalgic investment in the old necromunda range and think they hold up pretty well with modern paint jobs and 80s wibe colors.

Yeah they’re and absolutely brilliant range. If I didn’t have so much else to paint I’d honestly like to strip and re-do my whole Collection.

Metal models were once very popular but these days most players prefer plastic or resin.

Great to see old lead getting new paint. You planning a new campaign?

I did a similar thing with my VanSaar a few years back. Stripped off my horrible 90's (siginificantly worse than yours) paint and redoing them just in time for a campaign. Then I got my club mates to each paint one of my Necromunda 95 factions (mostly 90's original figs).

Grognards, Oldhammer'ites and fans of hand-sculpted miniatures will never stop loving metal minis.

Just want to add my voice to the appreciation of hand sculpted, metal cast minis. Plastic minis can be very nice too, but they often lack something, the old and new Commissar Yarrick being a good example.
