Introducing the terror known as, "Gone Postal" for the game Gaslands.
He started out as a Matchbox 1971 USPS Jeep mail truck. His roof is magnetized for weapon options.
This is a mock-up of the Jeep's engine. Huge engine, teeny pipes. Can't have that, so I broke 'em off and put on proper ones.
This is a standard mailbox for an air intake on top of the engine. I made it out of 1mm and 2mm plasticard. Those "for sale" signs at the local hardware store. It turned out to be a little bit too small and I broke it off of the model and lost it somewhere. I made a new one, but bigger and I pinned it on the engine.
Here's the finished "Gone Postal" in all his glory. Those blue mailboxes are part of his weapons loadout, Sentry Guns. If you're unfamiliar with Gaslands, Sentry Guns are automated turrets that you drop out of the back of your vehicle. They shoot at any enemy that drives in range until they are destroyed.
It took me three Jeeps to get the roof cut and the angles filed correctly. I still need to do some weathering and whatnot, but it's done enough to unveil and toss on the table to blow up other cars.
For anyone who's interested, I have him listed as a Monster Truck, with 3 handling, 4 max gear, 25 cans and 2 build slots.
His base loadout is:
• 2x Molotov Cocktails (crew weapons)
• Mini-Gun (turreted)
• Sentry Guns (rear).
He's currently sitting at 45 cans and 1 build slot.
