So, I'm about to start building my Oathmark Goblins. I'm not really sure I want to paint them green. Appearance wise, Oathmark Goblins have more in common with Oathmark Orcs, just a little smaller(not by much) , they don't look like the usual Goblins so I want to make a distinction between the two.

I've been looking on youtube to see if anyone paints them differently, and I found two videos! One had painted them a light purplish tone, and another had painted them slightly blue. I'm thinking of painting them a darkish purple, or maybe a military type blue like field blue. which is kind of blue grey.
I just wanted to ask if anyone else had painted them another colour, rather than 'Goblin green'!

I know I should paint them how I want, but there's a nagging thought in my brain saying; 'They're Goblins, you have to paint them Green!'

Help!

For some goblins, I paint them with a variety of human skin tones. My next batch will probably have gray skin! Of course I have plenty of green goblins as well. Variety is the spice of life.

Consider looking into the environment, to see what terrain base color would contrast best with the goblins colors.
That might push you closer to your final color scheme choice.

Forexample: If the base will be grassy-green, then I would lean into gray-purple goblins. If the base is light-sandy, then darker green goblins is what I would go for.
Hope this helps.

I use the old GW camo green with a flesh wash, gives them a nice amphibian yellow-green shade, rather than the usual bright green.
