A long-form podcast looking out at the gaming world. Daffrid and Dysartes explore the latest gaming news - both from Games Workshop, and from the wider gaming world - as well as each episode's discussion topic.

Featuring plenty of... thoughts, random tangents and half-remembered facts dredged up from the memories of two gamers who are in it for the long haul.

Sort of, but not really - we've been recording for nearly two years, but I can procrastinate with the best of them.

Episode 49 was the latest one we recorded, but it seemed a waste to not release the episodes we already had in the can. Until we've got all the old episodes out there, we'll be alternating between the "new" episodes and the older ones, with the older ones being listed as "From the Archives".

That makes a lot more sense now, I had read the description but didn’t quite process it. Lack of sleep kills brain power. I will listen to more, then return with the thoughts here.

Daffrid and Dysartes return to see how various AI models coped with digesting Daffrid's roleplaying scenario from the last episode, and how they did with regurgitating that content into new forms, as well as suggesting additions to what came before. Maybe we'll find out whether Dysartes is too cynical - or not cynical enough - when it comes to the Abominable Intelligence.

On top of this artifical discussion topic, we also catch up on what hobbying we’ve been doing over the last fortnight (including Daffrid making display cases from SANNAHED picture frames), we look at the news from Games Workshop (mainly the Armageddon box), and we take a look at the news from the wider gaming world as well (such as the launch of Vampire Crawlers).

From the Archive: CCGs, Plushies, D&D 5.5 Revealed & More of UK Games Expo 2024

Daffrid and Dysartes are back, and continue with their look back at UK Games Expo 2024. Survive: Escape from Atlantis, Shadowrun, and Battletech all got a test run, alongside a discussion about Joyride, a new racing game from Rebellion.

On top of this discussion topic, we also catch up on what hobbying we’ve been doing over the last fortnight, we look at the news from Games Workshop (Skaventide going up on pr-order, and support for Hive Secundus), and we take a look at the news from the wider gaming world as well (D&D 5.5 preview season begins, and Wargames Atlantic introduce their "Grand Battle Scale").
