Local store Enders Games in clovis, California had an amazing launch party for 40K's newest edition. I had to take a pic of the Ork Desserts. We have Squig-cupcakes and "Red Iz Fasta" cake. She also provided fully catered Chinese food. The community appreciated it. Store sold cart after cart of boxes and people were gaming, assembling minis and hanging out all day and into late evening. Good times.

How did the launch events go in your area?

Awesome

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

The only thing missing are Deep Fried Mushrooms, but that'd be kinda messy and difficult to do.

My WHFB armies were Bretonians and Tomb Kings.
