I hope the big news is more than just partnering with Antenociti for terrain. They didn't make such a fuss for any other terrain partners.

I'm personally starting to think that the terrain is going to actually be part of a "project" that they've batted around before, in regards to an "Infinity Games in a Box" set. Two 200ish points forces, scenery, and a few missions.

That would be nice, but I don't see it as "big news".

It is all relative, I suppose...

Infinity doing two player starter sets would actually be pretty big news.

It is something that has been bandied about over time but nothing ever really came of it. I think if we were to see it though, it would be a really interesting thing to actively see. It might be a "bundle" where you buy two faction starters and then get a third "starter kit" which is scenery and things like that--or it might be that the terrain is going to be starters all by itself.

That would be pretty cool. And it would be an excellent think for a store to pop open, paint, and set up as a demo table. It could also attract new players, which would be nice, but a big price tag might make some people cringe.

Not us though, since we'll probably already have everything in said set.

I imagine it'll be a lot like when GW puts out a starter box with two factions in it and a bunch of buddies split the price and split the armies.

I just hope and pray if that does happen, they don't stuff some exclusive model into the box as enticement for the Vets to pick it up.

Well, if they put in the new, fresh sculpts for say... PanO and Yu Jing? Replaced the old Fusilier and Zanshi models with updates and new stuff? That could be alright. I'd pick it up and split the forces with a buddy.

But if they just pre-packaged it with a bunch of stuff already in the line, it would be incentive to the new player, but not the Vets. But throwing an exclusive in would make us all wiggle in our seats... and obsessively check ebay.

But hey, they are a business after all, in the end it is their call. And I honestly want them to succeed at whatever they do.

I wonder if they will release re-sculpts of the other two as well... Or maybe another khanate mini, the Hunzakut girl w/LGL...

I'm not super happy about them being 55mm bases, but I'll live. They look so big and mean! Proper scifi choppers. Like swoop bikes with wheels.

I want to see them next to the JSA bikes. They'll make them look like those little pocket bikes.

I dunno much about the game but surely I can't be the only one snickering like a teenager at 'Kum Riders.'

This may be the first time I audibly gasped while looking at a mini. They're beautiful and perfect in every way. They're rugged and badass while still having an overall high-tech look.

The smoke-launchers are a bit distracting, but they could just be custom additions added after-market. It also blatantly differentiates them from the Aragoto.

Penthesilea has some competition.

I was disappointed with the Bolts, fantastic miniatures don't misunderstand but their poses seem a bit nonchalant to me, as though they're posing for Soldier of Fortune or some other tripe

This release on the other hand... What a giant step up from the old minis! Amazing!

As soon as I saw the name 'Kum Riders' I burst out laughing... I am so immature at times.

The word "Kum" means "Sand" in Turkish. Rhymes with 'room' in pronounciation.
