Seems a bit harsh labelling it like that. I heard from someone who actually saw what got them all banned what actually happened, and it seemed a bit unreasonable. Well, not in LCK's case, he was being completely out of order, insulting Reds8n. As for Darkvoid and ineptus, they didn't seem to do much wrong, even if what they said was off-topic.

Whoops! I didn't mean it like that I meant Ineptus and LCK had gotten themselves banned separately not that Darko made them get banned.

If you were to ask me, then yes, it would seem to follow him...but I'm not saying that's a bad thing, now, there's a line where I draw that the conversation's gotten majorly off topic, but the thing is, the mods judge that line differently than I do so go figure...

Some more harshly than others it would seem. It appears a lot more thread locking and post editing/deletion takes place down here from what I've observed in my long-time lurking and even as a member compared to most of the other boards. Could someone explain why that is? Seems strange that one board (except perhaps the off-topic board ) should have excessively more spam, off-topic and rule breaking than any other.

If you have an issue with this then you need to take it up directly with the MOD team. Please do not derail this thread further in this direction.

Suffice to say that if people persist in ignoring requests, posting copyright breaching materials and generally failing to comply to follow the forum rules then actions will be taken.

This also includes, for example, having a second ( or third or etc etc ) "sock puppet" or alternative account which they use sometimes, which is something else we don't allow. Such users generally are given a warning, if it's an honest mistake for example, but otherwise all their accounts are permanently barred from the site.

As an addendum to what reds8n already posted: I've noticed in the past that RPers here on Dakka are sometimes unclear about the rules concerning sockpuppets. You are not allowed to register and use a sock puppet account for roleplaying purposes. If you have done so but did not formerly know about this rule please write a PM to a moderator ASAP giving all of your usernames. Please include which account you would like to remain open as you are only allowed to have one. Turning yourself in is the best evidence that having multiple accounts was just an honest mistake. Waiting to be caught by moderators tends to show that you were trying to break the site's rules and we will be more likely to suspend your account.

And, as always, don't be afraid to PM any moderator about your questions regarding the site's rules. It's always better to ask first than to go ahead and mistakenly break a rule.

I am guilty of this. I had hoped my step brother would have taken the account, as it WAS his, but he did not.

I personally am afraid of Moderators, and always will be. Ironic considering my status as one...

My forces at pressent ON the rock are limited ( a Ven dread, 2 x 5 TDA Wolf guard, a Pack of Wolf Scouts with some supporting armour and air support (3 x LR, 3 x Thunderhawks, 2 Vandetta's with ST's)

so my focus would be more on leaving the masses to pound themselves to pieces and focus on surgical strikes... sound good to you?

That sounds good. I regret I can't marshal much air power so resupplying may be an issue, but if we're being conservative in our attacks then it might not even constitute a problem.
