When I open a paint of something, I usually think "Goody! I can
apply that to these figs over here..." and two hours later I'm still
painting green or drybrushing gold. Blech.

Yeah my to do list includes almost the entire Cygnar range(I got a Hunter and Defender done) along with the Trollkin box.  Not too mention the 2000 points of Tomb Kings still to be built and painted.

Recently, I've tried to keep my table cleared off since its also my computer desk. So currently the only projects on it are the remaining 4 bane knights(which will be finished tonight) and a unit of 8 bile thralls and a deathjack that will be on the back burner until I finish my army for a tourney at the end of the month.

Yea, I know what your talking about.

Looking at my table (tables actually), I have:

1. fallen angel army (1850)
2.lysander wing army (2000)
3. alpha legion army (1850)
4. building for a terrain contest
5. Some tau stuff for a tournament next week

mine is quite clear....its the shelf next to it thats busted full:
2 Clones of the Confrontation range
3 wounded IG Cadians that i was making for a diorama (making for the past...uuumm....2 years?)
Chaos Elites made from fantasy chaos warriors,still not painted
a few standart marines
my 1k sons,armless and white

my table only has a layer of sheeted styrene,chicken wire netting,blades and old MAC toys,all used to make an up scaled BFG ship(much upscaled,around the 20-30 inch range)

 

Edit->also forgot to mention a rhino that still hasnt received its lights (the inside's painted and i cant finish it without the lightwork and a hover predator (its Tzeentch you see?) that isnt even primed yet

Well add that IMEX platformer terrain to my list. It's for when I'm so
mind-boggingly sick of painting.

Oh yes. The Warmachine stuff always seems to go fast though. Maybe because I'm just more into that now. I try not to put out too much stuff at once, it can be quite overwhelming.

okay Malf(and everyone else!), when your plate is so full, how do you stay focused and on task?
