i am getting the same as well using both direct connect and regular join server.
i was originally geting a time out error.

There were/are issues with the Minecraft login servers. It's up to them to fix :-(

This hasn't got anything to do with the server and just means you need to update the texture pack your using.

I've never used HD texture packs (I just stick to default and occasionally dabble with other 16x16 packs), but I believe you need a "Texture patcher" to use HD packs fully. A quick Google leads here: http://www.minecraftdl.com/mcpatcher-hd-fix/ but I've never used that so you might want to check with others who have used HD texture packs first.

Yeah it just means he used an outdated patcher. Take it to the general MC thread if you have more questions about it; I pretty much use nothing but those types of texture packs.

Sorry, you're still quite new to Dakka. We've had trouble with people signing up to Dakka just for the Minecraft server. Ask again in a month or so if you are still here, or if one of the current whitelisted Minecraft people can vouch for you I'll let you on.

It's the time and the number of posts. He's not saying you, specifically are just here for the Server, it's just a general rule that pretty much everyone has to abide by, that helps weed out those that are.

Come back in a few weeks, or maybe a month, showing increased post count, and that'll probably be enough

A lot of people have said use the MC patcher. Yes, that's one way of doing it, getting optifine multi-core for your latest minecraft (if you have a 2+ core processor, messes up single core processors. I have a quad core, so I use multi-core) works too. It has an in-built patcher, I believe. You just install it and it patches texture packs automatically up to 128x128 bit. See youtube on how to install.

I usually only tp people if they are stuck somewhere from outside their own control (such as ending up on the nether roof). It's fairly easy to get to various places in the world without tp. If it isn't, then you need to work your way there yourself anyway.

Also the map gets updated by Dark every 2 days but he's been busy recently and he's also upgrading the machine he uses to generate the map.
Why are you so eager for an update?

It's got lots of cool stuff in it. What else is required?
