Ok this is a comission piece for a friend from the US. He wanted a celtic looking vblack templar LRC , for his celtic BT army The land raider was painted by my studio friend - Mariusz Oleskiewicz. Here are some first shots of the tank , will get some more done soon, the interior is fully painted and it can be opened - the top hatch is mounted on hinges. More pics are to come if you wish. Hash

Yikes that alot of free hand work, bet its pricy. Nice detail for sure. Using any templates to lay out the circles and such? I only ask as the not work in side the large center cicrcle is pretty consistant. Any tips for pulling this off on our own stuff would be very helpfull. Great stuff man, for sure.

Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war!

The whole pattern was sketched with an ordinary pencil on the black basecoat. Compasses used for drawing the circles, the celtic design is totally freehand and no templates were used. Everything is freehand work here.

Wow - that's one amazing paint job. You're certainly earning those commission dollars.

Celtic Templars. What an... odd... motif.

Very nicely executed paint job on the land raider though. I say you need to post more pics.

Really nice.
Good publicity for http://leprechaun-studio.com

Although I personally prefer to paint my stuff myself (or exchanging painting favours with friends) I really appreciate all painting studios.
One of the best things with this hobby is getting to see excellently painted stuff - and quite frankly most gamers suck at painting - hopefully when more services pop up we all get to see better and better stuff - and in the end unpainted and/or sloppy paint jobs will be rare.
The sculptors do a great job - not investing time in doing the minis justice are sad (heck, even a twenty minute paint job + dipping usually does the trick).

Very, very nice. The highlights are very smooth on the bone color areas. Freehand work is very top knotch.

Thanks for posting the pics.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
