Good pics!  Thanks for posting.  There were some great looking armies at the event.  Although with 102 participants, I didn't get out from behind the scoring computer often, I really enjoyed seeing the mix of Fantasy and 40k forces that we had represented.  The drop pod vs. drop pod battles especially wild.

I took a few pictures as well, and am combining some from two other people.  Once we get them up, I will post to let everyone know where they can go to view them.

I believe there was one. I tried to take pix of the best painted armies. Sorry for excluding the Nidz. Maybe next year.

Was the mix this year representative of most competitive events out there in 4th edition?  I imagine Chaos marines are usually pretty common and finish toward the top?

It was indeed a competitive event. There were three Necron armies and three Dark Eldar armies out of 33. Chaos won best overall.

There were 5 Necron armies.  I have a breakdown, but unfortunately it isn't one of the reports I can export easily.

The three monolith army seemed a bit over the top.  Is that a tournament norm?  I have a friend who wanted to play me in a home game with 3 monoliths and I gave him hell over it.  3 Monoliths, 3 Basilisks...  I guess it isn't as abnormal as I was thinking huh?

Three Monoliths is definitely over the top... but then again there are less Necrons so it is easier to phase out the army.
