I'm taking this list to the same tournament Migsula is going to. It's small but very aggressive combined charge army, with no magic of its own. It relies on its speed and simple combat prowess to overwhelm the typical high magic list that has only about 1000 points of actual combat troops. Daemon Prince of Slaanesh Soul Hunger, Blade of the Ether, Spellbreaker, Master of Mortals 425pts Exalted Champion of Slaanesh Rending Sword, Enchanted Shield, Steed of Slaanesh 190pts 6 Chosen Knights of Slaanesh w/ full command 320pts 2 Chariots of Chaos 240pts 5 Marauder Horsemen w/musician shield, spear 86pts 6 Furies 90pts 6 Mounted Daemonettes 180pts 4 Minotaurs great weapon 184pts 3 Ogres addt. hand weapon, shield, heavy armour 135pts 2 Fiends of Slaanesh 150pts

hey, first thing, you seem to be a bit over points at 2040 if its supposed to be 2000? also your army seems to have a very fast (daemon prince, champion, dameonettes, furies) and a slower part (knights, marauders, chariots, spawn, ogres/minotaurs) you might have a bit of trouble combining them if you want to get to your enemy. If the enemy can kill your prince and champ, you don't have so much hitty fast stuff left. I don't know if mixing superfast with slow/hitty will work, after missile losses you might not have enough 20" movers left to seriously bother enemy troops. If you fight an army geared for combat it should prove an even fight, and the list dosen't have any seriously bad unit choices. Something you might add into your list is some cheap throwaway units, like small units of warhounds and marauder horse with flail that can hit hard for few points. Your chariots would be a thing to cut, also becuse they are much slower then the rest of the force (7" no march). Even if this might sound pretty negative it's still pretty solid and should get pretty good comp (if your using it) at least from me P.S if you worry about facing high lvl magic armies (as implied in your post) it would be a good idea with a scroll caddies to survive intact first 1-2 turns. bye,

With the galaxy as large as it is the odds of the average guardsmen seeing and fighting a marine or MEQ are relatively slim. Unfortunately the guardsmen in your (and anyone else who plays IG's) army are the REALLY, REALLY LUCKY ones that fight marines ALL the time... |

Hmm, after a recount I'm still getting 2000 points. Others have pointed out the very fast/not so fast divide, but if you want hitting power, Chosen Knights and Minotaurs is where it's at, so I'm not seeing a way out. I usually use the 20" movers to take out flank guards and such before charging in, so the army won't usually be too badly out of sync. Hounds and extra marauder horse would be quite useful I agree, but unfortunately I don't think can get the minis in time, so I have to make do with what I've got. Scroll caddies are missing because I can't see them being of more use than equivalent points of combat troops. I do have one scroll on the DP for emergencies though. Thanks for the feedback!

The points over are on the exalted champion and chosen knights, exalted champion(100)mark(20)e.shield(10)rending sword(40)Stedd(40) = 210pts 6 chosen knights(270*) Mark(20) Command(50) = 340pts *1 knight 33 chosen +12, 45x6 =270 So it seem you forgot to count the marks in the total points Right, I forgot about the DP's scroll then you should be off fine if you do some magehunting too. Good you luck with the army

How about Dragon-Ogres? Arent they super killy and faster than minotaurs/ogres? I like the list. It's different and has lots of potential for cool conversions. To me that's two of the three best things in army design.

No magic defense is going to be crippling against certain enemies. You've got a ton of no/bad armor save stuff that's going to take a horrible beating from simple magic missiles. But it hits like a ton of bricks, so it'll still have a chance.

Banesword - Agh, I always forget Marks! Thanks for spotting my mistake! Let's see, I could either ditch a Knight or swap the Ogres for a second unit of Marauder Horsemen... Migs - Dragon Ogres are pretty good (improved Minos essentially), but they're also very, very expensive at 70-80 points each. I don't know if the army can bear such costs and remain flexible enough. Mauleed - Magic is the list's big weakness, definitely, but the choice was deliberate and I'm happy with a fighting chance.
