i currently am working on a secoond alternate warboss, fluffwise representing orkaon at an earlier stage in his prolonged life, im also working on a power klaw nob and a scratch built warphead and squig counter

the minepig! cos you can only use the submersible in water, so it'd be a waste.

ill try to get it uploaded fer tommorow too, along wiv da second warboss, new nobs (there are two!) and the weirdboy, only problem being orkaon (the defiler version) may not be in it, as hes currenly being worked on, and is cut open, another problem is time, as currently im finally getting round to painting my baneblade for my ig, but we'll see

well, i got some pics of da models, ignore the mish-mash of colours, these are old parts from the depths of my bits box, some from when i first started, but dont worry, ill undercoat em when i ave time

not 100% sure about the warboss and wierdboy, they look a bit clumsy. but the nob looks awesome.

i think that the chaos staff on the wierdboy isn't great, i would use a stick (ok a staff, stick whatever). I've always liked the look of a good knarled stick. Just a personal oppinion though.

IMHO, i don't think they need chaos bitz, they need growths. if they are chaos orks they need to have been tainted by the warp giving them the blue lips, but you need flayed flesh and tentacles e.t.c. but the madness of orks has to still be there. maybe they could be based on one of the four chaos affiliations?

the weirdboy is dodgy. and the power claw on the nob looks like it came from a power rangers set. the warboss is okay.

i agree with a previous poster, basing them on a chaos god and making them look like chaos orks rather than a bad kitbash would really help here.
you need growths, mutations, boils, tentacles, flames, gore, guts and most of all
BLOOD FOR THE BLOODGOD.

ehhhh.... im still with balmung on his conversion idea. personally i think the orks would look ridiculous with tentacles and the like sticking out of them. sure humans are easy for mutation and what not, flesh is false as some would say. But IMO orks are tough as rocks (and easily as smart) mutations to me would look goofy. at the most i think metal melding with their skin would be ok but other then that no way. and that PK look like the talon of horus from abaddon.

i really think they need mutations, but from which god. tzeench? could work with weirdboyz and stuff like that, and it would explain blue lips. khorne? wouldn't fit the way you've painted the models. nurgle? maby, but lots of convertins. slaanesh? no. just no. dont even ponder it. or fathom it (te he he). naked orks with 'additions' aren't good.

i think you should settle somewhere in the middle of all of them. a bit like n=undivided, having certain units altered in different ways.

tbh i think tzeentch orks would work.
orks with flamers can be possessed by flamers of tzeentch.
bikers can ride disks.
etc..

nah, mutations are too ovious fer chaos orks, besides, theyre just freebooterz as mentioned previously, as fer the weirdboy, hes still wip godammit!!!!

hey, i made a decision not to have mutations at the start due to the obviousnous, as fer bad kitbashing, where do you see that, coz i sure dont

maybe not lots of conversions, just little ones so we know they are chaos. you can paint them like the awesome lips! that would look cool and tzeenchy.
