No cage involved. The camera is the trap.

It's your basic camera, but with a motion sensor and low light filter. They use them on wildlife preserves, etc to keep tabs on the wildlife.

And the fox was the intended target. I've seen the little buggers running around, but this is the first time I've gotten a picture of one.

Interesting.... i could use one of those for a different purpose...

How much would one of those cost? and does it flash?
or it can take pic in total darkness? how easy is it to conceal?

Basically i want to catch who ever is dumping their garbage near the backlane. Need to make sure they wont see the camera to steal it either.

They don't flash, as they use an IR strobe to light the area. For concealment...the model I have comes with a strap that wraps around a tree trunk.

You can set it up at any height you want, etc, etc.
For cost? Again, price varies.

They use a standard SD card, much like a digital camera does for storage of the photos.

The distance / lighting / clarity of your photo is good enough for what i need , how much does yours cost?

It was $199.99.

Bushnell Trophy Cam with Text LCD is the exact model.

And I even managed to get it shooting video. Woop.

Got the fox on that one.

This one was several hours later, and got some deer on there.

There we go. Fox six through thirteen are tonight's shenanigans so far.

Fox nine is particularly adorable.
