Seriously, though. I generally don't care what people choose to do unless it directly affects me. Metalheads who think with their testosterone and belittle other forms of music because it doesn't make them angry enough or cause their eardrums to bleed have caused me an endless amount of problems. So many people have given me so much gak about my taste in music because most of what I listen to is some form of progressive or technical metal. I see metal as the most physically impressive genre of music with the greatest possibility for technicality due to it's highly mathematical and calculated nature, with the broadest range of aesthetics around, but people find this the perfect excuse to insult me because the vast majority of people who listen to metal are incredibly ignorant and revel in their own stereotype. I've been accused of everything from murdering my own parents, to being a cannibal, to partaking in necrophilia, simply because of the fething music I listen to. Sure, this has something to do with the stupidity of people in general, but the vast majority of metalheads certainly don't help by being self-fulfilling.
Why can't people ever shut the feth up and simply enjoy music, instead of trying to redeem themselves through their own musical interests?
What do you consider a "Metal head' for me listening to metal doesn't simply make you a metal head you have to dress in metal paraphernalia, you have some of the common characteristics and mannerisms of metal heads and you have to be
obsessed with the genre. People who just listen to metal because they enjoy it are "people who listen to metal" IMO.

Well people who just listen to metal I call "Headbangers" people who wear, live and act metal are "Metalheads". But I like to differentiate the normal looking people who enjoy metal from the "Metalheads" because they seem like two different
groups, this is just more about my opinion than actual fact though.
