Now for the 2 Obliterators that I actually have painted

This one is my favorite as far as painting goes. I stumbled onto a way to make really good looking skin. First you give it a coat of Red Gore, followed by one or two thin coats of dwarf flesh, watered down so that the red still shows through. Then, you cover it all with a wash of Ogryn Flesh, and you get this;









This one was my favorite, but I realized that I did too much flesh, and not enough armor/tech stuff. However, he is a lot closer to the actual obliterators in terms of size. I Have a lot more work to do on this one, mainly breaking up the large areas of flesh color somehow.








That's all for now. I'm feeling a little under the weather at the moment, but I'll try to get more pics posted soon. I want to get as much stuff done and posted as I can before college, since I don't think I'm bringing my 40k stuff with me.

Also, I'm going to try and take pictures outside from now on, since the light in my room is never quite right. Anyone have any tips for better photography?

have you tried blue, purple, green and ogryn wash it works fantastically I used it on my Cryx warmachine minis.

I've noticed that some of my stuff is getting kind of dusty from sitting on the shelf for a while. Anyone know a good way to get rid of the dust? I assume I can just dunk them in some water, since the paints aren't watercolors or anything, but if anyone has any better ideas, I'd love to know.

Nice! How are you liking the ven. dread kit?

It's freaking awesome. I do kind of wish I'd thought to modify the feet so they looked more like the FW chaos dreads', but other than that, it's an incredible kit. I'm definitely going to make any other dreads out of the venerable kit.
