Lets get this back on the road then.


Tybalt waited until all the boarders were aboard their shuttles. Then Tybalt would embark his as the last one, joining his boarding party. He saw everyone was secure, strapped securely in their seats. Then, TYbalt would secure himself in his seat. Whne he made himself comfortable, he voxed an order to the bridge.

"Release boarding shuttles."

He also voxed to each of the boarders, on his and on the other shuttles.

"Give 'em hell."

after that last command, the shuttles were violently fired off into the void, to their respective targets.

Liam flicked the safeties on his weapons off, and made sure they were loaded and ready. The pilot, a man named Dan that he'd never bothered to socialize with, called over his shoulder, "Docking in three..two..one.." There was a loud thud as the airlocks sealed together. "Docked."
The captain removed his pistol from its holster on his belt, and rammed a clip into it. The weapon was a thing of awe, firing mass-reactive, high-yield bolt rounds - precious ammo that was notoriously hard to come by. Indeed, comparatively few people had ever even heard of bolt weapons. In the years that Liam had known the captain, he'd noticed that Tybalt preferred to conserve the precious ammunition whenever possible, letting his subordinates do the shooting.
"Alright men, this isn't going to be easy - so watch yourselves out there. This cargo is damn important to the Imperium, so I don't doubt it'll be heavily defended. While I wouldn't usually risk you all in a raid as dangerous as this, the reward we'll get if we pull this off will be well worth it. That is why you are risking your lives today."
"Sir?" one of the pirates piped up.
"What, Craigson?" The captain replied.
"Can we go frag some of them already?"
"We'll go when the captain says we'll go." Liam retorted, although he was as eager as any of the others to get aboard the Twilight and get it over and done with. He'd been on raids like this before - the last one that even came close to as big a gamble as this one had gone disastrously wrong three years ago; eleven men had died and the captain himself had been wounded.
Craigson glared at Liam in annoyance, but said nothing more.

Liam glanced about the three other men that'd be accompanying him and the captain - Dan, Ellis and Craigson.
"Lock 'n' load." He said, grinning wildy at the thought of the haul they were so close to getting.

IC: Eliis clapped a mag into his Auto Pistol, holstered in and hoisted up his Shoota. Lifting the cumbersome weapon up he expelled the magazine, tapped it a few times on the frame of the seat and replaced it. Fiddled with the slide of the weapon, trying to chamber a round, he stood up and took position to the left of the shuttle door. Waiting for the doors to slide out and the command to attack. He glanced over his shoulder at Captain Tybalt, the weapon finally cooperating, "Hay Captain we have any of those Photon Grenades left, from that weapons haul a few months back?" Ellis was not in a hurry to breach yet another door and get shot, yet again, before the real fun started. The Captains stern glare was answer enough. Ellis thought to himself, just as the Doors began to open, "After this job, I'm buying some Ga-Ram body armor."

"Doors are open. Move! You all know your objectives, get moving!"

Tybalt unholstered his Bolt Pistol and drew his scimitar, waving in the direction of the enemy beyond the blast doors. With a wheezing sound the doors glided open, and they were greeted by some small arms fire. In front of him he saw Badner dropping like a sack.

"gak." was the only word he could think of.

He ordered the men towards the door and take cover there. His men complied and took up some return fire.

"Come on, We had worse, kill them!"

He put emphasis to his order by shooting one of them through the head, wich resulted to a bloody mist. The enemy Wore Black leather suits, Green Berets and were armored with Standard isue shotguns. One of them, probably the overseer, was holding his earbud to vox for reinforcements or to warn others the pirates were almost on board. He shot him in the belly, resulting in another red mist. 2 down, 8 to go.

Tybalt pressed his own earbud. "Cal, how are things going at the engine room?"

Liam isn't in the engine room, his with the captain! Just following your own orders.. plus, how could he hear the captains speech in the other shuttle?


EDIT: Also, in my last post, I wrote the names of all the men in the shuttle with Liam and the Captain.. so the man called "Badner" perhaps should be renamed to stop an inconsistency.

Well, it IS the summer hols.. even if we only have two weeks and a bit left of it.

There is a point. But when school starts again, My parents will get annoying again, and wont let my use the computer during the week. Well I'll try visiting dakka once in a while, but.....

"Dan, Craigson, Dereck, cover us. Liam and Ellis, you follow me. see there? There is a stairway which leads to an elevated position we go over there so we can fire down at them. Go"

Tybalt sprinted out of the belly of the "Screaming Devil", his favorite shuttle, assuming that Liam and Ellis were close behind.

he saw 1 green beret wearing security guard dropping, a solid round hitting his shoulder. the rest of the security detail went to cover for a few precious moments.

That was all Tybalt needed to reach the stairways. but out of nowhere 3 crew members stood infront of them blocking his way. looking at their weapons, they were not Security. They all hold iron bars. 1 of them lunged at the captain his iron bar swinging towards Tybalts head. He deflected the blow with his scimitar. he saw that Liam and Ellis were also engaged in hand to hand.

His opponent brought the metal pole down, but Liam stepped out of the way and sending his rifle's butt into his assailants face, sending the man sprawling. Liam finished him off with a few shots from his autogun. Looking round, he saw Ellis and the Captain had dispatched their opponents as well - Tybalt had just decapitated his defeated foe.
"Mercs?" Liam called, before a series of laser bolts impacted around him, and looking up, he saw a person firing from up on an elevated walkway. Taking aim, he returned fire.

"Skitarri. It is common when the mechanicum expects precious cargo to arrive. They'd send a squad of skitarri to reinforce the current amount of security. "

Tybalt saw Liam dropping the sniper up the walkway. A clean shot through the head.

"Now move up the stairs, we need to break this stalemate. Auspex reading say the bridge is just behind those doors."

Tybalt pointed his scimitar towards the massive doors while he moved up the stairs, again assuming that Ellis and Liam were close by.

"that would explain this dense defensive knot."

Well, the guy up on the walkway was supposed to be a Skitarri with a Lasgun, but oh well.

I am not going to redo it again. I too have some ideas concerning the assault on the bridge.....

Liam and Ellis nodded and together with the captain, they took up fire. 3 of them green berets went down. 1 was shredded by shoota fire, another was thudded by an autogun, and 1 of the had his midsection exploding from an explosive bolt. 4 of them were left. they clearly had no experience at all. all 4 remaing guards got up qnd headed for the bridges doors, hoping they would open the massive doors and let thme in. They were horribly wrong. Tbalt and his assault team and The fire team left in the belly of the "screaming Devil" all fired a single round at the panicking security guards, ending their lives.

yup next week is Finals for my 3 classes >.< then 2 or 3 weeks till i get new coarses
