You forgot Kratos Slarg232. Also asimo77, I know you think he is a silly addition, but I wouldn't compare him to something like Vader or Yoda. At least Kratos is the god of war, which does at least somewhat fit into the Elder God theme with Raiden, Fujin, and the rest. Different Pantheon, but at least it isn't some magical addition like Yoda.

Putting Kratos in the game is just as cool as putting someone like Ryu Hayabusa in, (Imagine him getting a klassic ninja suit like the rest? It would be like Noob's but blue all over!)

As for Rain, "On January 10, 2011, Ed Boon updated his Twitter asking for fans to weigh in on which characters they'd like to see as DLC: "Seriously guys. Tell me your order of preference for a DLC character. Rain, Shinnok, Kenshi, Robo-smoke, or new character?" "Ooops...forgot one. Or Tanya."

So I got to play the demo a couple of days ago.

I am floored. Seriously, this is MK with a return to form. I was going to buy MvC3 eventually, but I'm taking that $$ and directing it to MK now.

Well since I have a 360 I guess the Kratos thing is a non-issue for me. I guess when I play a MK game I want to be an MK guy fighting other MK guys. But if people enjoy playing Kratos good for them.

Also scans of those DLC lists are floating around the net, as well as other random tidbits like pics of what appears to be Smoke and Sheeva.

From what I've heard now, the DLC is false except this has been confirmed by Ed Boon.

I saw someone say he looks like a Predator, and I agree.

Why is he in two slots? And isn't that the DLC spot he's in? I thought Cyber Sub was in the Krypt.

I believe one slot is the DLC slot and the other is the random select.

He sure does look awesome though!

he's the "Secret Character" And is selectable by the DLC Slot, along with the DLC characters and any other sneaky snake unannounced characters.

Kinda cool that they did the "alternate reality" thing since the Lin Kwei wanted to turn Sub Zero into a robot like Smoke, Cyrax and Sektor in MK3 and in this game they have that option possible, showing what would happen if he didn't escape with Smoke's (sacrificial) assistance.

Hmm I wonder what Cyber Reptile would be like.

A ninja dinosaur-man turned robot that spits acid and can go invisible, is the right kind of crazy MK needs.

Cyber Rain would just fitzz out with all that water.

The more I see about this game the more I want to play it. They really outdid themselves with this one. It wouldn't have been the same 5-6 years ago. The graphics for a 3D fighting game has only just now in the last few years become good enough to replace the old style characters from MK 1-3. It is part of the reason why Post MK 3 characters look so bad. The 3D graphics look extremely dated by the old 2D graphics still look good. The later MK games may have been good at the time, but the character models look really bland and lack detail now.

Who is the character with the funny looking "hair" between Noob and Sektor? Is that Human Smoke with just bad imaging on the computer? I assume so, but if so, the smoke effect for hair looks bad here. That was the only character I had any question about who it was.

Thanks, I'll be happy to stay surprised which form he is in this. And dammit, now they have all the ninjas EXCEPT Rain, so he'd better be in the second DLC since Kintaro, Kenshi (favorite in deadly alliance, but why is he here?!) and Scarlet are the first! Leaving only one ninja (arguably the most popular other than the Scorpion/Sub Zero loving kids) out is wrong! After Slargs confirmation that this character I asked about is Smoke, I need the 7th ninja.

And don't forget Kratos for the PS3 and maybe somebody for the 360 version, Clay Carmine would be interesting.

I like the X-ray moves, but I feel that they should be more like finishing moves instead of something you can just bring out in the middle of a fight.

Not a Gears character; Cliffy was tweeted "Did you guys ever get a character into Mortal Kombat?" To which he responded "No, we were beaten out by someone else."

No one knows who, and no one on the Mortal Kombat forums I frequent for this info seems to be able to read past "No". They are all celebrating that the 360 Version is "Pure", despite the fact that the bolded part means there is a guest character....

From what I heard the Xbox is getting an exclusive "something", not necessarily a character. So maybe a stage, fatality, concept art, who really knows.

Though it would be hilarious if only we got Rain.

Sounds like some PS3 fanboys rubbing the Kratos thing in their face to me. I am a PS3 fanboy, but I have never went to that level. I really think that if you get and exclusive you should just count yourself as lucky. Remember how everyone was over the expansions for GTA IV? 360boys were a lot like the ones that you are describing on the MK forum.

It is so sad. MK I for Sega had Blood. MK I for SNES had a better graphic port. I am just waiting for the final battle where we use the console as shields and our controllers as weapons.
