They move G: Syncro so one order moves all 3 and generate only one ARO. They are a PH 13 with Hyper-Dynamics 3, this means whenever they dodge they are a crazy 22PH roll (18-20 are crits). This allows you to move up the field fast and laugh at any shots that are incoming for the most part unless you roll really bad. Pupniks are also... get this.. 1pt per. The chimera cost a laughably low 21pts bringing the total cost for this craziness to 24 points. It is on a very fine line of miscosted, but it does infact gain it's cheap cost from being a CCish unit.

See, I knew there was something I was missing!
Thanks BD!
I really need to familiarize myself with all the special skills.
Up until now, my Infinity purchases were mostly "What do I think looks nice?" driven.
Preparing to build a force?
This requires a bit more thought!

Is that right Or am I off Blue dagger?
Not too keen on the fox/jackal… gonna hold off on the full Überfallkommando until they make a different set… but I’ll use the winter vixen as a Doc/Engineer or something
The Al Hawwa might find it’s way as a proxy into my nomads… pretty cool model
The Shasvastii Noctifers has me thinking combined army… gonna buy that to paint for sure

I jumped in with both feet on Nomads long ago, and I'm glad I did.
Of course, that then led to small (!) Combined, Ariadna and Haqqislam forces...
Honestly, I can't see why someone wouldn't be interested in this game - the miniatures, the rules (free AND fun) the recent INFINITY WEEK deals, etc.

Correct being impetuous they auto-matically run up the field with 2 short move skills. This is a double edge sword because on one hand they move up the field on a free order, but on the other hand they move live a rage induced idiot not caring about cover. Also remember that they are Irregular, so their order doesn't go to the pool of order, but rather MUST be spent on themselves. This means you will either burn that order to make them stand still or they will Impetuous up the field then you use another order to move up closer or try to get in cover.

Yeah, Nomads are all about stretching the moralities and imagination of humanity. Bangin a goat won't get you arrested, though some might give ya a weird look.
@Alph - As a hardcore 40k player I have been playing nothing, but infinity the last 5-6 weeks. I really have trouble going back to 40k because it seems so unintuitive now :(

Well, not exactly. The Impetuous order goes like this.
One of the short skills has to be MOVE 4 inches, the other short skill declared can be:
- Attack
- Dodge
- Move again
So you can even declare: SHOOT as your first short skill and then MOVE the obligatory 4 inches. Doesn´t matter the timing of declaring the skills.

Don't you have to do a MOVE first if you're using 2 shorts, regardless of the second one? But point taken, they don't have to go double-time up the field. (Could you MOVE + DODGE, for a total of 4"? Or is DODGE only a sort of reaction to ARO shooting?)

Doesn´t matter if you declare one skill first and then the other, during an order sequence all actions happen simultaneously, you can hear this also in the videos.
(Could you MOVE + DODGE, for a total of 4"? Or is DODGE only a sort of reaction to ARO shooting?)
DODGE is a short skill and it can also be declared in active turn. The difference is: if you make a succesfull DODGE roll in ARO (reactive turn) you are allowed to move 2 inches. In active turn, DODGE does not mean any additional movement, because you can make MOVE+DODGE.

Thnx for the correction Bobba, you are right you can use use those combinations in any order: move+move, Move+shoot, shoot+move ect ect. I think it's been debated in the forums if Dodge is allow in impetuous if you are not being fired upon, because it provide a loophole to halt a second movement. Same with order vertical Jump when there is no obstacles.

The Haramaki Zensenbutai are absolutely fabulous. The Haqqislam hacker looks good too. I'll probably pass on the rest, unless I can get the Ram and Chimera from the set separately. Ram should be easy to convert to normal legs.

I actually was remembering reading commentary that the videos got this wrong, that the move part going first (if it's happening), the intent being to make AROs that don't have sixth sense and stuff decide what they're doing before the second half of the move has gone down. There's a very good chance though that I ought to believe you more than some YouTube frothers

The best solution to the no players problem is fin someone else willing to play, proxy stuff, and play a match on a busy game night. As you learn the rules and play a few weeks other catch on and get interested because the density of Infinity terrain makes people curious. We had about 6 players spread across central Colorado 2 months ago, now we are up to at least 20 with more being enticed every week.

That seems to be the way to go. Especially with vet 40k players needing a break. Playing on a busy night demoing the game for a crowd can definitely entice many players. The biggest lure in our area seems to be the low cost of getting into the game and the great look o the minis. Though upon receiving our minis recently, we have been both blown away and intimidated at the detail and small size of the minis.

I won't lie, they make you work for their beauty. They are very simple to assemble, yet take a little more love then most miniatures. In painting them there is a pile of detail on the little guys, but in a game where getting more people into the game is the biggest case, painting comes a distant third.

I have to disagree. We had a conversation in our club not too long ago about this. When someone goes into your club, they are immediately attracted to the coolest looking stuff. It causes that first "ooohhh" emotion. The awe causes someone to look first then start asking questions. So nicely painted armies initially bring that first interest. Then it is really up to the vet gamers in your area to be welcoming and not act like elitist douchebags when talking to newbies. This is what I strongly constantly try to get across in my local area and it has allowed our community to thrive. Even with a strong majority of WAAC lists, everyone is really friendly and welcoming.

Very true, but for a new player I would not emphisize their painting as a priority over assembly and playing of games. Hence the stature of 3rd

I think it's true that these miniatures require....no, DEMAND to be painted well, the cost, the detail, these are like the Bugatti's of the miniatures world.
This can be a drawback, but I think it also speaks volumes about the company and the game. It's aimed at adults (due to the depth of the fluff and content of the fluff) but also to miniature enthusiasts....this is a serious product, that seems to be driven by a company that expects alot from those who want to collect their figures and play their games.
While other companies seem content to aim their products at children, in terms of their fluff and the complexity of their product (rules and miniatures), an attitude like Corvus Bell's is both refreshing and required!

Sorry, didn't say what I meant right. What I mean is to entice new players into your game of choice, present your best. Lord knows I have my huge share of grey minis. I would never stress to someone that painted minis are ever required. Just if you want new players into your hobby, be sure you go all out. Have best painted minis on the best board with terrain. A group in our area has jumped on board and we fully expect to entice new players on our heavy 40k day in our flgs to bring them over to infinity.
