Is the game gonna have "chapters" like clans in other games? It would look kinda cool to do custom team games where everyone on your team in the same colors and stuff like that.
Each player can customize their character in a variety of ways, so I'd imagine if you're playing with friends that doing everyone in the same chapter colors wouldn't be all that difficult.
Even if they don't have official clans, you can always just set up a custom armor set that matches your friends. Clan support in Halo 2 led to the biggest douchebaggery I've ever seen online as the people that wanted to cheat got together and shared their info easily within ranked matches. Most online games seem to have noticed the growing pains that game had and only given token support to clans more recently.
Okay, when they showed that you can change the color of the armor and they included maximus, it convinced me that the only thing I buy from now until the time I preorder is killteam... to get the powersword for Space Marine.
It looked like you didn't get much of anything with the chaos preorder, and because we can make our own color schemes, preordering loyalist from gamestop when I get the money.
Will be fun to play with all the dakka PS3 owners. We should make a clan.
You probably get some unique mix and match paint schemes with the preorder although the devs did say in one of the videos that the preorder stuff would be available for purchase later. Whether this is actually true, a slip of the tongue, or simply a mistake on his part during the interview is anyone's guess.

I don't think there will be "real" clans but it is indeed possible to make everyone look the same and feel like a clan. I would love to do this, but as a Death Guard!

Well for DoW2 Ret, it also had pre order stuff that now you can buy as DLC. This would be similar

It shouldn't be too hard to make it a simple blue vs red kind of game where it just forces an ultramarines and wordbearers skin to overlay on top of what you have.
This way you get the feel of chapter on chapter fighting.
A 2-forts map with some objective to claim and bring back had better be the first free DLC content released after the game comes out.
A fallen marine in the basement of both forts where the idea is to run in, get the geneseed and run back to your base for example. Or a chapter's codex ala Ultramarines the movie.

The game really is looking great. I just hope they support it properly to warrant expansions, sequels, and the like. If this thing fails as hard as the AvP reboot I'll be a bit annoyed.

Space Marine was removed from Steam in the UK almost the day it went up. Steam nor THQ are not saying why but the big theory is Retail Stores whined for it to not be there until after launch and THQ really likes its UK Retail Partnerships for some reason.

From what I remember of the videos, they don't... and, yes, it would be stupid. I think the single player version of the greenskin blood deathmist thing is partly for the gore (which resonates with preteens) and also the polygon count. Keeping all those dead bodies on the ground when you're cutting through a horde would probably bog down the processor.

Was just thinking if orcs are part of the campagin, they should let you be an orc in multiplayer too. They already have the 3d models and skins for em, may as well use em. Maybe they'll do that as part of a DLC or something.
Kinda disapointed that the Killzone game wasn't released for PS3 on the 26th like they said though :( or at least it's not on there PSN store for me...
