LA Noir on sale for a baker's dozen. Anyone played that yet?

I've heard a lot of mixed things about it...

Man the last couple days have sucked for sales.

If I don't already own it I wouldn't play it. This considering I really don't own that many games nor spend that much on gaming anyways.

I regret missing the SR3 sale.

Yeah, past two days haven't really interested me.

I'm wondering if at the end they'll do what they've done once or more before, and put every offer up at once.

Sucked? They had Deus Ex: Human Revolutions at 66% off, which is awesome considering its only a couple months old, and a AAA title.

Tried it, got to china, finally stopped out of boredom.

Also thought the intro where that girl dies was badly planned. It took me awhile to just accept getting slapped kills you. Yeah he had augmented strength, but her body reacted as if it was a normal back hand.

My brother loved it, well......the first half of the game anyway. It gets really repetitive......especially when you're not doing homicide cases.

For a baker's dozen its not a bad price, I would pay $30 for it after having played it. For a Rockstar game a lot of people probably expected guns and bewbs everywhere, however there is a stunning lack of running around and just blasting people away. For once you're actually confined by the law and in most cases you can't even shoot someone walking down the street, let alone pull out your pistol. That being said there are some fun gun fights, but it definitely focuses more on looking around for clues and trying to catch bad guys. The facial expressions are great in this game when it comes to the interviews and if you can get past some of the dead nude females during the homicide missions its a fun game. If you're interested in it, then its worth $13 or so bucks.

I found it pretty fun. It gets a little samey after a while, but it's really neat that every case has branching paths and different ways to reach the end, depending on how you approach a suspect or witness, how well you do during interviews/interrogations, and how many clues you find during each investigation.

The driving is kind of bad, though. Not in the driving itself, but the fact that cars have really poor AI - sometimes they'll just get stuck switching lanes, and stop in the middle of the street. It really gets to be a pain after a while, though you can (for the most part) tell your partner to drive and quick-travel to where you need to go anyway.

I'll get magicka, but I'm really not wanting to get all that DLC... geeze that stuff adds up.

Yeah, although the campaign doesn't really get harder with more people playing, it def gets more dangerous for the players themselves because of stray spells.

Multiplayer Magicka is all about killing the enemies before your allies kill you.

It's not my fault dropping a forcefield in front of an allies beam is so... pyrotechnically beautiful...

This is the most unintentionally funny comment ever.

She isn't dead, and the weird killing blow is meant to induce a WTF response in the player.
