Gotta be a serious twist at the end right from the original film?

(Did I miss a few pages?)

Quaid is one of the aliens who built the machine?

Only he's been hiding out amongst humans all this time (under a deep-deep-deep-cover) ?

The arnie movie did have its moments (Arnie wasn't in any of them, though).

I'm hoping for a cross between the script I saw (De Laurentiis version prior to the Carolco/Verhoeven version) and the original story.

Hmmm intrigued - despite the critical handjobbing, (post T1 and others) I thought Arnie was.... well ......plausible in it (hullking barley speaking english giant much? - nah - he tried).

Whats this secret script you have?!
I dont like Verh overall but if you ride it on with his films they do have a certain....appeal.

Its a sit back Sci fi - OTT dollywhopping - C'mon (stick that in the Oxford) jaunt.

It's not a 'secret script'- just another treatment for a movie that got cancelled because DEG went into the toilet - allowing Carolco to pick up the rights.

Whilst it's still (c) to the writer of it, it was just so much ... toilet paper after we got our marching orders.

The Martian city was epic (10-12' tall scale model). It filled a 6x10m space. Shame it got destroyed.

This is the correct Poirot.

If you include TV as well as cinema then Agatha Christie has a load of her books filmed.

Also there's Ian Fleming who has most of the James Bond films from his books (substantially different in many cases but if you can accept the Blade Runner as an adaptation of Electric Sheep...) and the likes of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
