Sam groggily came into conciseness and spit out blood. He clung to Atris, cursing the fact that his legs were broken. He felt like a limp dog, just waiting to be put down and swore. He saw the Vulture come in and he felt slightly better as he was loaded in. Again he blacked out. He was comatose for three days. He finally awoke after a face flashed across the blackness. He screamed in terror and jolted awake. Orderlies rushed in and calmed him down. Both of his legs were in casts and a doctor walked in with a clipboard.
"Good news and bad news. The good news is that your legs are healing well and you should be able to walk again. The bad news is, not during this campaign. You are effectively out of commission for a year, I'm sorry Sam." The doctor said and turned.
"Wait!" Sam barked. The doctor stopped cold and turned, clearly nervous of incurring the commissars wrath.
"Yes sir?" The doctor asked, doing his best to remain calm.
"Bionics. I want bionic legs." He said.
"Sam theres no way. They're expensive as all hell to begin with, and you are more likely to die in surgery than survive. It can't be done." The doctor said and turned again. Sam took out his laspistol and shot him in the ankle.
"Call the Blood Angels, they'll pay for it, Dante owes me anyway, and I don't care, I want this surgery." Sam said.

A short week later Sam was walking on metal legs. It took some getting used to, but they were very effective and he was ready to fight again.

Atris turned swiftly, removing her Sabre from it's scabbard in one fluid motion, each silver blade coming into contact with the other.

"Because you are the enemy, heretic. We don't care for your festivals, your traditions. We will take any advantage we can to vanquish you."

Atris slid her sword away from the scantily dressed soldier's and lunged at her heart. Atris' ornamental blade was intercepted by the rune-inscribed sword of the Chaos worshipper.

"I saved you!"

The fanatic pushed her blade back, leaving Atris open. She dived forwards, missing the sergeant by mere millimeters as she dodged. Atris took her oppurtunity. She took a graceful backflip before throwing her body at the enemy's legs.

She barely evaded that womens attack towards her legs. After evading her hit she stabbed her in quick succesion 3 times but she blocked all 3 of them. With a smile Lynessa said.''You are a good warrior i give you that. You shouldn't worship that corpse like those others, look at them! One of them kills my men and afterwards runs like a rat, and the other one kills his own soldiers while wearing a fancy hat. Are those the people you see as allies? as friends? I can see the reason why you where imprisoned so easily.''

"I don't see warriors. I see noble pricks."

The woman placed the tip of her power sword under Atris' chin.

"Embrace the grand schemer. Feel him. We are all equals under him. Or you can die like the slimy rat you are. Your choice."

"No. I'd rather be locked forever in that perverse temple than to fall from the Emperor!"

"Very well;"

The semi-clothed cultist pointed to the edge of the cliff. Atris' second in command, Vanessa, was being pushed from behind. A thousand memories of good times rushed through Atris' skull as the guardswoman flew through the air. They faded to black as she landed with a thud onto the hard stone slabs that lay on the shore of the lake.

"Will you comply?"

The cultist pushed the blade closed to her throat. Atris could feel it's energy against her skin, tingling and warming her skin.

"No."

The sergeant swung her leg to the side, toppling the scantily-clothed heretic.

Lynessa was greatly pained. She needed to kill a human but it was needed. The surprise attack of the sergeant had surprised her allot but instead of deflecting it she saw a slaaneshi cultist suddenly get struck by it. She saw his face full of happiness as he experienced a new form of pleasure.
She was disgusted and after looking over a cliff saw the rest coming. She knew it was over, the attack would be unending and the fact that she hadn't had the time to cloth herself made it even worse. But before they reached the 2 dueling females the lord of change the protector of the feasts soared up and landed in the middle of the masses. His spells were so powerful that all around him dozens where falling to their death she knew the duel was to go uninterrupted.
With her power sword she tried to hit her left flank but with no success the battle was going on for a long while now she new something had to happen soon.

Atris dodged and weaved every blow of the cultist. Fireballs and bolts of pure magic flew about the duel.

"I SHALL END YOU, HERETIC!"

With a mighty swing from her sabre, the sergeant struck the woman's sword. Their steel broke. At once, Atris took on the cultist with her bare hands.

Lynessa was angered by her prescious sword being destroyed. She would need to invoke one of her daemon pacts to repair it later.
But there where more important things now! Lynessa made a huge uppercut at the female sergeant but with a kick she knocked her hand back. she returned the favor with a flurry of hits and kicks and successfully made her stumble on the ground. Lynessa was now laying on the ground the female walked up to her preparing to kick her mercilessly.
The foot came up above her and just before she struck she rolled out of the way and made a low sweeping kick towards her legs. The women fell to the ground and lynessa threw herself at her.

Atris had barely milliseconds to prepare before she was toppled to the ground. Her spine was throbbing with pain. As she tried to pull herself up, the cultist had began to circle her.

"You will burn, scum. You will burn."

The sergeant still tried to get back up, but her backbone refused. She helplessly clenched her hands, screaming in agony. Her eyes clamped shut.

"You could have simply come to the light of truth, but no."

Atris' legs remained motionless. The sergeant gave up. She simply lay on her back, paralyzed.

"It's a shame. You would have made a fine soldier."

Atris stayed lying down. Tears flowed down her cheeks as a million memories flickered like a film before her eyes.

"I HAVE TRIUMPHED, LORD TZEENTCH!"

Lynessa triumphed, she screamed her bellows of triumph as her soldiers ran around her in screams of victory.
She felt the powers of tzeentch rush through her. She saw as her bolt pistol dissipated but also saw a blue fireball appear in her hand. She had been given the blessing of doombolts.
She knew a punishment for escaping was in order and she ordered her whole squad to be rounded up.
5 minutes later the sergeants squad was tied up and put in a straight line. She said to her ''Now choose 1 of your squad members will die and sacrificed to tzeentch. You will choose yourself!''

"Never!"

She spat in the cultist's face. She retorted by holding the fireball in her hand to the other arsehat's face. Screams of pain rang out as the entire body was consumed in smoke and flame.

"Yes, or you all shall perish."

Lynessa was saddened by these events but she had to.
She ordered her men to draw a huge ceremonial circle and have Ki'ra'ga'shu receive them. She began sacrificing every single soldier systematically with pure fire.

"You may think I will burn, but you are wrong. I will rise again like a Phoenix from the ashes, and you shall be powerless to stop me."

Fires began to jut about the Sergeant. She had watched every single soldier be consumed by the great inferno.

"Wrong again, fool!"

A great gout of flame rose from the ground, yet Atris was still alive. Her skin had only been stained with soot. As the flames began to die down, the cultists looked on in disbelief.

"YOU WILL BURN, SCUM!"

Another burst of fire crossed her skin. The rope that she had been tied with began to burn. She reveled in the warmth of it. Once again, the flame died down, once again, the cultist was in disbelief.

Gareva walked around forward-command, looking around the number of intact and damaged vehicles inside he could feel the pain of the damaged spirits. Gareva walked towards one of the damaged vehicles were a Leman Russ tank, Gareva lifted his hand and placed it on the hull.
"We must repair this mighty beast so it may bring death to the traitors." Gareva said to his servitors as they began to repair the Leman Russ. In the distance the sounds of war grow closer, Gareva could hear footsteps behind him, his servo skull turned around and scanned the target.

"Eh tech-priest we need you on the front line." She said. Gareva did not reply. The women repeated but also tapped Gareva on the shoulder he turned around.
"Listen guard I will go when I am done!" Gareva said as he turned back around and back to his work.
~~2 hours later~~
Gareva walked away from the repaired Leman Russ.
" The beast is repaired but the side armour is badly damaged." Gareva said to the guardsmen before heading to the front line.

Lynessa's anger was great now it had been the first time she had been actually angry in a long time and her command squad knew that too they evacuated the platoon to get to a save distance.

Lynessa screamed with untameable rage. ''I saved you! i clothed you! and this is how you repay me?!'' As in both her hands huge fiery storms but at the same time tears of sadness where flowing down her cheeks. The blue fires where everywhere now her anger intensified the flames.
That man that was running towards her with a crude knife and that women who kept denying her friendship they would all need punishment. With untameable rage she rushed towards that sergeant and without a warning gave him a uppercut he would have to kill her to stop her now!

"Tarkus, you amazing man! Bloody good timing!"

The fires died down as the cultist gave the Veteran Sergeant a mighty strike across the chin.

"YOU WILL BURN, ALL OF YOU! THIS IS YOUR CHOICE!"

Ki'ra'ga'shu saw the favoured minion of tzeentch was getting hurt and he had to protect her as the blessings with her where great.
He disappeared in a beautiful explosion of colors some that didn't even exist yet and spawned right in front of lynessa again. He said with his intimidating voice. ''Fools is this how imperials fight? A women saves you and you try to kill her? She gives you a chance to escape and you shoot at her? what is this for goodness is this what your emperor stands for?'' He said as he teleported back to the camp with lynessa with him, he laid her down in the courtyard to be brought back to her bed by her soldiers.

The man handed her the blade.

Atris was sat in the chapel, reflecting on the battle that she had undertaken a week ago. Sam was healing well, but would be out of commission for a year. Jammy bugger, nothing stops him.
