Thanks, that's a nice compliment I guess

Anyway, here's an update for today. These two mutants are like 80% finished but still have some stuff to fix but too tired atm

Love the guy with the flamer, although I think he is having one of those bad dreams where you go to battle with your flamer and then realise you aren't wearing any clothes.

I think he would look cool with some more burn victim type skin colouring - whites and reds where it hasn't healed properly. But maybe that's why he no longer wears clothes, cos last time his synthetic overalls caught fire on a spark and nearly cooked him.

Haha, yeah I guess he is sligthly upset that his "master"(that would be me) gave him a flamer but no protection.

I tried to achieve a "leathery" skintone to look like it was burned but I will check out if I can make it look more like burn injuries.

The creepy servitor dude is very cool, the skin tone especially is nice.

Love your conversion work, Inq28 is definitely the way ahead if (like me) you're not an army batch painter!

A note on GS - something that really helped my GS work was using vaseline and clay shapers.

Cheers!

I really admire the creativity behind your models. There are a lot of unique conversions here, that really capture the grimdark feel of the 41st Millennium. Well done!

I especially like the Inquisitor and the Crusader. They're both very characterful. Keep up the great work!

Cheers,

The naked flamer guy is looking rather good. A nasty piece of work . I meant to ask in the building stage what thickness plasticard and what diameter plastic rod did you use on the "bolted on metal plates"?

The scenery is coming along nicely too. It is impressive what you have built with so few materials.

Have you gotten any background to your inquisitor? He has a name but what Ordo is he? What philosophy does he follow? That sort of thing. The same goes with the mutants - why is Helheim purging them?

BTW the face on your scribe is just brilliant, every time I look at your avatar it creeps me out.

The plasticard rods for the bolts are 1,18 mm and the plastcard itself is 1 mm thick on the legs and the mask is made out of 0,5 mm.

Hmm I've just started to read a little about the different ordos and my lore knowledge are close to zero. Maybe Ordo Sepulturum would be suitable? The mutants could be up to some shennanigans and spreading some kind of plague. I guess it would work since the main inquisitor is wearing a re-breather. The "walker" guy could also use his flamer to purge the remains of bacteria and virus found in different places. And as far as the mutant goes it's pretty clear that they aren't very healthy at all and probably infested with several different afflictions.

Again, marvelous work, Karokk! Peter's also quite right about your avatar, btw

Regarding your Inquisitor, I think an Ordo Sepultrum Inquisitor would be a cool idea simply for the fact that we don't see to many of those -- probably due to their rather specialised area of expertise. However, I could easily see your Inquisitor investigating a special strain of the Zombie Plague, maybe even a mutated form, turning those afflicted into beings equally dangerous but slightly more coherent -- that could fit with your mutants. I also think you're right about the visual cues on your Inquisitor: That rebreather would fit nicely with this particular career path as well. You may want to add all kinds of censers from DA kits to the retinue, though: I like the idea of the Inquisitor's entourage burning purifiyng incense wherever he goes

Sounds like a pretty decent backstory

I've painted the terrain piece today and it's almost finished. Basically I got to fix some paint spill-over and it's done. Here are some pictures:

So now that the terrain piece is finished and both the mutant gang and the Inquisitor gang are almost finished Im thinking about the next project.

I have a slightly different idea... Basically I want to make a Necron gang for Inquisimunda. The idea is that the gang consists of renegade necrons who were left on this ruined planet to rot(rust?). The look of them willl be very rusty necrons with added scrap metal. Alot of them will also be hooded and wear tattered cloth. The lore behind them could be that they roam this ruined planet for spare parts or something.

Also I will make 3 similiar terrain pieces to the first that can be put together to one big scene.

Here is another model painted. This is Chief Enforcer Konrad. This is a model where I wasn't 100% happy with the conversion but when I painted him he just came out awesome!

Also have come up with some names for the rest of my warband.

Also since the Inquisitor warband is finished I took a group photo(terrible camera) and also made a thread on the showcase forums. Here's the pic:

From left to right: Crusader Wolfram, Sigurd the pale, Inquisitor Helheim, Aeturnus, Tychus the crazed, Chief Enforcer Konrad

The warband looks awesome together! Great job! My only nitpick would be that, if you really want your Inquisitor to be a member of the Ordo Sepultrum, the warband looks awfully shooty While it's probably a good idea to have around a couple of guys that could fight plague zombies or the infected in general, there should be some kind of medicae or scientist to gather samples (maybe in a getup not unlike that of a Plague Doctor). And maybe an acolyte in a 40k-i-fied Hazmat suit, waving around a censer to purify the air around the Inquisitor and dispel the cloying fumes of unbelief.

So what I am trying to say is that there's always a good excuse for yet more conversions In any case, the retinue looks more like a Hereticus warband atm, if you ask me.

You are right that they don't fit very well as Ordo Sepultrum but it's kinda hard to come up with the lore as an afterthought as the miniatures was just created from a purely aesthetic/creative point of view. The next time I'm making a warband I'll make sure to atleast consider the lore behind them before creating them Maybe I'll do another warband as Ordo Sepultrum with some of the ideas that you described Anyway my next project will be the necron warband(after I've finished my lkast mutants).

Awesome. Just all-around AWESOME.

LOL... your scenery is cooler than mine and I'm extremely jealous...

Everything looks top-notch: the conversions, the paintjobs, the scenery. I'm looking forward to more of this, Karokk!

The terrain and the group shot are great. The enforcer has turned out very nicely too.

Necron Warband - should be a treat to see. Are you going to be continuing in this thread or starting a new one?

I will be keeping this thread for all Inquisimunda endeavours. The parts for the necronmunda() gang will arrive shortly and I will start working on them the coming month.

It would be fun to play with them but at the moment I don't have that much time and thus I spend most of my spare-time on painting/modelling as that is my favourite part of the hobby. Good luck with your chaos gang

I have now finished the mutant gang which currently consists of five members, I might expand it at a later point but right now I'm satisfied.

First of a group shot:

From left to right: Wolverine, Subject A7, Bartholomew the foul, Meatgrinder and Timmy the burnt.

Also took some new photos of the old ones but also of the last painted one, old ones I put behind spoilers.

Meatgrinder:
Spoiler:

Bartholomew the foul:

Subject A7:
Spoiler:

Wolverine:
Spoiler:

Timmy the burnt:
Spoiler:

And to celebrate that I finished the project here is an "action-pic" of the two gangs!

And to clarify things, this thread will be my thread for all my Inquisimunda ventures and other similiar stuff. My next project will be making a Necron gang. They will be crude versions of the ordinary necrons and some with tattered clothes etc. They roam this world for spare parts and to find their purpose(robots with feelings). I got some parts for them now including a set of immortals, lychguard, a few warriors and Illuminor Szeras which will be the base for the conversions. The parts I will use to convert them will mainly be ork and cultist parts to give them that crude look.
