Salt Dump IMO - OP confirms it was a pre-release in first paragraph and thus presents the community get out of jail free card.

I think its false, due to the fact that other stores dont even have there copies of the book until later in the week. So unless the guy knows someone inside gw :S

Wednesday will be the earliest most GWs have their book.

As I said, this is a funny situation because of the timing, and because none of the stuff in the OP really seems to be beyond what GW would do to revamp a Codex...........

I could just as easily see this being an April Fools joke as being the real deal.

Just to be clear, Farsight still gets his 7 bodyguards and limits what exactly (a little more specific please).

Do the firewarriors get free grenades like every other army since except them since 4th edition?

Orks, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tyranids, and Necrons get no free grenades.

But when you're born in the Imperium, they do ship you a sack of grenades.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

If this is his attempt at an April Fools joke... it's pretty tame. There's better rumours to start about GW on April Fools.

I Can confirm he was wrong about markerlights not reducing cover saves- the white dwarf battle report specifically mention them being used to remove the cover save from some tyranid troops one turn.

I find it hard to believe Darkstrider is an HQ choice and not a unit upgrade, some stuff seems a bit suspicious but others quite believable, well played aha

Considering Darkstrider is actually in the HQ section of the Tau Empire listings, it's not too unbelievable.

When the OP says 2-3 things about a codex that are clearly debunked by the White Dwarf battle report this month, I think the entire post has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Given that the OP DOES NOT have the Tau Codex (only allegedly looked at it for a time), these thing should be included in the overall Tau rumor thread and do not deserve a thread of their own.

Locking now...
