Do you think I can paint 800 points in 2 months? Because I'm planning on buying Get Started Space Wolves but I want to have finished painting...

Easy, that's just 100 points a week! Even if it's all Grey Hunters, that's less than a mini a day. A HQ or Dread or a couple of Thunderwolves and that's you done for a week!

Get to it, lad!

I... actually don't know. Help?

So I need to finish all my stuff before the 4th of April, which is when I'll have unlimited access to a FLGS and painting for hours every day.

The list of unpainted things:

13 Grey Hunters
1 Contemptor
4 Fenrisian Wolves
1 Land Speeder
5 Long Fangs
7 Characters
3 TWC

So about 1300 points, give or take. I have, upon posting this, 47 days to finish. 1300 divided by 47 is 27. 27 points a day, 189 a week! Let's do this!

Quick question, is the dice thing mandatory? I've written a mord list and a tournament's coming up and I'd really like to get em done for that.

(Just my take on it, IMHO, YMMV, etc.)

I think as long as stuff is moving, the hows and whys are not an issue.

The die helps some of us. If we could decide what we wanted to be painting, it wouldn’t be sitting there for over two decades!

Dice aren't necessary if you know what you want to paint, they're simply a crutch for indecisive among us

Roll for pizza! Sausage pineapple.

...and that’s enough silliness for now. Just to prove I’m still working on old projects:

I thought there was a thread somewhere about minis bought off ebay that were just blobs of paint. I can't find it, so I'm posting these here. I have discovered the secret of stripping plastic minis so I'm stripping almost an entire space marine army.
These are the most freaky looking ones:

Count Blobula and The Incredible Blob.

What miracle are you using to get the paint off those?

I am using biostrip 20. I finally found out how to do it properly and my advice is DO NOT leave them to soak in it. Put one in for about 1 or 2 minutes, give it a scrub to get the top latyers off, then put it back in again to get the next layer off. Repeat until it looks like new!

Here's the Incredible Blob, looking more like a space marine. Not totally finished, but almost there.
