Not based but more or less finished, that was alot of fun! Thanks! Tell you what this little compo has caused me to sort out the interesting little models worth keeping from the broken junk that needs chucked out.

1. Chaos Knight
2. Volkmar again
3. Dark Elf Lady
4. Ancient Space Ork model, the type in the green plastic.
5. Tomb King 'Hero' choice, Tomb Prince(?) (Actually needs a little TLC before painting as he's been through the wars)
6. Lucretia Belladonna

15 marines done to the point of moving on! (not finished, but a solid base of Zandri dust, once my entire army is at this point minimum, I'll move onto the next step )

Roll again, if someone would

1: 15 marines (MK III this time )
2: 5 Terminators (Thousand Sons)
3: 10 Solar Auxillia
4: 5 Terminators (Death Guard)
5: 10 Terminators (Death Guard)
6: 3 Dreadnoughts

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

I posted this in the Flashback Friday thread, but it’s applicable to this thread as well. Seeing that this thread got me motivated to poke around the dusty depths of my workbench.

Along the back of my workbench there are boxes. Old, forgotten, dusty boxes full of abandoned projects and shattered dreams. Plus lead. Let’s take a peak inside:

5th ed Bretonians,
siege gear
Some grenadear lead
squats
WE dryads
Dogs of War
Old chaos warriors.

TGIF everyone!

Brennonjw: I rolled a 3 for you. Solar Auxillia time!

I don't actually have any half-done miniatures instead I have a lot of completely unstarted miniatures as I assemble one model/squad at a time. Currently I'm in the middle of painting 1k points from my Tyranid boxes that have been accumulating between 2008-2014.

Nevelon, on 2d6 the first number at or above 7 was 7 (unsurprisingly as iirc its the average). Any chance someone could do mine (list of 6 in my post above)?

Was feeling really hyped up but now it's waning :(.

Volkmar is nearly done, I am quite happy with him. Feel free to roll another from my list, 2's will need to be re-rolled.

I... actually don't know. Help?

Here's three Grey Hunters, and I am not going to bed before they're finished. Mostly bases and highlights. If I do finish them I have a few more. I'm thinking, what if I add stuff to my D6 list all the time? Because I can't decide what to paint.

They look great, I always preferred the Wolves in that dark grey and red. My own are very similar. Not got a D6 handy at the moment (a failure, I know! )

I actually want to change my entry. Reading the thread on the new AOBR rerelease made me dig out the miniatures. After four years of neglect I actually want to paint the AOBR set. Orks and all. I have most of it and it'd be cool painting some Orks just 'cause.

Heh...

There was a "list of shame" post about a year or...three back, where I actually bothered to take a full inventory (yeah, it was madness indeed).

Since then, I have actually done a good job getting stuff done, even have inventories, plan stuff, out, keep track of stuff I get done.

now, mind you....I don't usually get my plan done...but hey, its a start.

Besides the multitudes of models in boxes/bags and half assembled minis, there clearly are some that are truly...neglected.

Either I lost interest, or plans changed or I just found some aspect a challenge to complete - and thus, the lonely languish even more.

Besides the "active" list of 15 or so minis I am slowly working on, here is a short list of my orphans..

1 - A broken necron nightbringer
I love crons...I played them back in the OLD codex, long before crons were cool.
He is damaged, missing parts, broken base, and never finished painted...yeah, poor guy...even if the rules are garbage, he was once loved.
Had him since ...2010.

2 - A mostly painted bastion
Well, its ....sort of painted....well, maybe just base coated for like....3 years?

3 - Basing for a tigershark.
Yeah, a fully painted tau tigershark - I got burned out, and never finished his base.

4 - Basing for a tyranid harradin
Another big forgeworld toy - the model has been done since....2012?
Yeah, never finished the base. Tired of bad tyranid rules for years, have just not finished him.
(I don't call a model "done' until the scenic basing is done).

5 - A complete bane blade in....sort of parts. Sort of.
Yeah, I will get to him....um...someday. Been in box since 2011.

Ok, now, this does not include about 5000 points of necrons only base coated since 2010, or some other kits even older than that, or even my list of 10,000 points of various minis in boxes, bags or spures.

I will scrounge up a pic of the nightbringer (if I can find him) and rate the poor guy.

Lol...

That's actually one of its uses... a quote from the super glue wiki...

Research has demonstrated the use of cyanoacrylate in wound closure as being safer and more functional than traditional suturing (stitches).[10] The adhesive has demonstrated superior performance in the time required to close a wound, incidence of infection (suture canals through the skin's epidermal, dermal, and subcutaneous fat layers introduce extra routes of contamination),[10] and final cosmetic appearance.[11][12]

Not to derail this thread even further, but if CA glue is so wonderful for wound closure, how come doctors don't use it instead of stitches?

Trauma doctors do, the reason why not is generally sterilisation - there is no medical superglue.

Take medical oxygen - what is the difference between that and industrial oxygen? The difference is that the bottle is emptied and sterilised before being refilled.

Correct

Incorrect. Emergency Departments in the U.S. use this product often: http://www.ethicon.com/healthcare-professionals/products/wound-closure/skin-adhesives/dermabond-advanced-topical-skin-adhesive

but regular super glue is almost identical, active ingredient being cyanoacrylate, without the $200 price tag and all the medical buzzwords like "microbial barrier" and "plasticizers"

Source: worked in an E.R. for two years and I stabbed myself with a hobby knife one week ago and had to super glue my thumb back together (to keep this discussion relevant) worked fine, with rinsing and antibiotic, the super glue did a fine job of preventing infection and closing the wound.

Man I wish we had that stuff, we we're allowed to use it on "customers" - this was like 15 years ago or more now though. We also weren't allowed to say people were dead, which lead to an almost humorous interaction while delivering a patient in two pieces - we were advised that we were not, in fact, doctors, and that our very much alive patient merely had "conditions not compatible with life" (he'd been decapitated).

What a great idea! I feel slightly more competent now though, as I have nowhere near as many unpainted models as I thought. Still, it'll be nice to have some motivation to get them done!

Righto, I've gone through and painted everything that I had marked on my list (basecoated, at least) now onto phase 2 of the plan:

1) 10 Solar Auxilia/Vostroyans
2) Finish 5 30k Thousand Sons terminators
3) Metal Work on 20 30k Thousand Sons Marines
4) 20 white Bolters for 30k Thousand Sons
5) 5 Assault Marines
6) 5 Heavy Support Marines

I should hopefully be able to get pics soon, the batteries in my Camera died a few days ago :(
