$14 for three tanks, each one bigger than a Land Raider.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GJJZW2J/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_4?smid=A2X4OP81CX82CN&psc=1
- Size: Approx 20 x 10.8 x 8.8cm/7.87 x 4.25 x 3.46inch
Good for wrecks or Ork battle wagons if nothing else.
And a possibility for my on-hold landing craft project. Replace the command tower, add some engines...
It COULD work.

Something of interest to ship and starship builders...
47 modern ships, planes and choppers. Cut em up and glue em to a Space Hulk, paint them up as transports and escorts, heck write your own South China Sea wargame! For $15 why not?

I'll be sure to post pics when I get mine. It looks like you get at least 2 of everything (black team and grey team) so some things like stacking the subs hull to hull to make a 3d ship are easy.
Lots of turrets and wings to clip off too.
Fingers crossed it's styrene and not PVC. Even though I know in my heart it's PVC.

One of the sillier ideas floating in my head is to reproduce these guys using IG figures.
https://smile.amazon.com/Kicko-Plastic-Army-Men-Figures/dp/B0734GBJV9/ref=pd_ybh_a_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=F3N6M6WN62SNDE4S1ESK
If it doesn't make sense, when I was growing up almost all the army men were these exact poses in this glossy green plastic (the tan army didn't appear till Desert Storm in 1991).
Any of our resident 3d sculptors interested in the idea?

Look.
I'm not saying we're going to buy a $100 Playmobile City Action Police Headquarters with Prison Set to convert into an Adeptus Arbites Fortress Precinct.

I ain't saying this is a good idea OK? But I always liked Higgins boats and 4 for $15 (1/72 scale apparently) is hard to beat.
Add tracks and make mini Gorgons (count as Chimeras)?

So I got my Maxx Action Navy and Air Force! Amazon review below.
When I was a kid I loved the old Helen of Toy games with their toy tanks, battleships and aircraft carriers and spent hours staging massive land, sea and air wars. And later space once I discovered Space Battleship Yamato/Star Blazers. So this set is a perfect update to them.
You get 40+ ships and planes and even two islands to fight over in one 7"x8" tub that makes cleaning up and storage easy.
The pieces are big, the aircraft carrier is over 7" and even the small planes are 2" each. You get at least two of each ship, in black and grey, and four of some of the smaller items like the planes.
The ships themselves are a montage from World War II battleships to modern nuclear subs and littoral combat ships. The planes are mostly modern and mostly US/NATO. In addition there's a transport plane and two sub-hunting helicopters for more elaborate scenarios.
I'd say, unless you object to war toys on principle (which as a parent I completely understand), this is a fine gift for kids who are into that sort of thing. Cheap, durable, useful and easy to store.
As for me, these days I'm into more elaborate space games and I'm not sure how useful they would be for something like that. Needless to say the pieces are not in scale to one another and are too big for most uses. I may cut them up to make wrecks and kitbashes but that's about the only use. Though the two islands might make for a nice asteroid base/space hulk...
I'd add, a BFG cuirser is like 3.5", a battleship 5" so these will dwarf anything on the table as well as obviously being navy ships. So unless you have a very clever plan space hulks and wrecks is about it for them. The Red Alert bags above are better if you want cheap filler ships.
That being said, I'll be doing a pretty snazzy new Space Hulk soon I think...

Huh. I stand corrected. So, why use katakana if the word can be written in kanji?
Style.
It's like italics or a fancy font or misspelling the name of your product on purpose.

I dunno, never really like Playmobile, it had the abstraction of Legos but without the custom ability. Might just be an acquired taste if you didn't grow up with them.

My favoured revision aid through GCSEs and A levels.
45 minutes head in book, 15 minutes trying to use as much of my Space LEGO bits as I could to make a massive cruiser before it collapsed under its own weight.
In my neighborhood the goal was to make a ship that could withstand reentry, by which I mean tossing it off a flight of stairs.
I eventually got it to work.

My order of Red Alert ships made it from England to Egypt in about 6 weeks and I'm happy with what I got.
https://www.theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/product/34-x-assorted-psc-games-space-ships-grab-bag/
I ordered 2 bags for 10 GBP each, 34 ships a bag.
The sets are slanted towards the bigger ships, 4", with some medium 3" and a few small at 2".
For reference in BFG cruisers are about 3.5", battleships 5", escorts 1.5"
The style of the ship is kind of 'generically futurey' which may not be a bad thing since they will look and feel equally at home in the Final Frontier, a Galaxy Far, Far Away and the Grim Darkness of the Far Future.
There a red pencily ones and green boxy ones with a few grey wide bodies in there.
Like the dime store ships I picked a while back I see them mainly as filler like transports or wrecks are the makings of another Space Hulk.
These will definitely join the transport armada as Rogue Trader Supply Barges.
These 3 can be the makings of a quick and dirty Marine Fleet, Battle Barge, Strike Cruisers and an oversized escort.
They feel like PVC plastic but I have no real plans to convert them, I like the idea of taking them out of the bag and painting. Still have to see how well they take primer and paint.
So not a great buy but certainly a fine one with lots of uses if/when I return to ship painting.
