First letter of my first name, first 4 letters from my last name, last 2 digits of year of birth.

I wasn't being particularly creative in around 1998 or so when I started using this nick Bad side is it's horribly unpronouncable which is why on twitch streams when I'm chatting I'm just telling streamers to call me by my first name if they want for sake of easiness.

Apologies for replying in this thread since it's a bit old. Tarara is a Maori's name for Croats ( Austria- Hungary navy was mostly composed of Croats ) who came to northern New Zealand during the beginning of 19th century in order to dig kauri gum. Because of our supposed " fast talk and frequent use of R letter " they named us Tarara.

And since Carcharodons, my favorite chapter, are inspired by Maori and Polynesian culture, I didn't even need to look up any Maori names. Pretty cool huh?

"The best way to lie is to tell the truth." Attelus Kaltos.
My story! Secret War
After his organisation is hired to hunt down an influential gang leader on the Hive world, Omnartus. Attelus Kaltos is embroiled deeper into the complex world of the Assassin. This is the job which will change him, for better or for worse. Forevermore. Chapter 1.

The Angaran Chronicles: Hamar Noir. After coming back from a dangerous mission which left his friend and partner, the werewolf: Emilia in a coma. Anargrin is sent on another mission: to hunt down a rogue vampire. A rogue vampire with no consistent modus operandi and who is exceedingly good at hiding its tracks. So much so even the veteran Anargrin is forced into desperate speculation. But worst of all: drive him into desperate measures. Measures which drives Anargrin to wonder; does the ends, justify the means?

Thank you. Yeah, I myself didn't know about it until like a year ago. The Croatian settlers eventually mingled with the natives and now there's a whole community of mixed Maori/Croat people. I'm planning to visit New Zealand one day so I'll have to investigate this

My name came from an old forum with a flash based RPG game built into it, I tried to type Guardian, misspelled it Guardlin. Didn't notice for a really long time...
Later used it as a call sign for my Airsoft team and misspelled it again on a name tag bringing me up to Guardling.
Don't used it for Airsoft anymore but its been around on most of my internet stuff so kept it...

This is an interesting old thread gonna, spend a while reading it now

Could have sworn I posted here already, but seems I didn't...
Way back I started playing a pen and paper RPG with some friends and there was a forum for talking about the system and the world we were playing in. My first character was an alchemyst with a drawback called "pyromaniac". Therefore I came up with this rather unimaginative user name. But it somehow stuck and I find "Pyro" or "Pyroalchi" have a nice ring to them.

I loved The Napoleons of Eridanus (most people seem to hate it). I have always wanted to do a Napoleon In Outer Space campaign, and I may be getting around to it. I am toying with the idea of 15mm Napoleonics painted up in metallic colors with silver faces (only the Generals and Marshals will be human) or painting up pieces from the hardware store https://www.lowes.com/pd/Cobra-50-Pack-Assorted-Length-and-Assorted-Diameter-Standard-Drywall-Anchor-Screws-Included/3382152 in Napoleonic colors, and adding pipe cleaners of various colors (red for grenadiers, white for green for light infantry, etc.) as pompons. Again, only Napoleon, Kutuzov, Wellington, Bernadotte, etc., get to be human.

First, all means to conciliate; failing that, all means to crush.

I made it years ago when I was in NROTC in college. Basically, Midshipman is the Navy/Marine Corps version of cadet. Midn is the abbreviation. USMC is the branch I chose. Its old. I had since commissioned and am still in the Marine Corps to this day.

usually go under different names, but I was into AdMech when starting 40k (and my hobby journey, for better or for worse).
My display name is a Bovine pun on Belisarius Cawl, the big boy named character of the AdMech army. I have yet to paint, or even read up on him, I just thought of the name.

'Awsum' is the highest rating I can give something based on quality. Example: I would call it an 'Awsum' AWS-8Q instead of an 'Awesome'

Mine I found randomly, maréchal des logis, in fact french sergent in certain regiments, being a fun title to me back then (never suspecting I'd become one). Walter is the "equivalent" of my first name in German. Because why not?

How did you decide on your username?

Mine is a nickname I had back in school; 'greebo' was a ninties word for one into metal, but my love of indie pop, and the tight jeans that went with, was misdiagnosed as being 'greeby', and somehow 'noggin' got tagged onto the end, so I was greebynoggin, greebynognog or just greebynog. People in my home town still call me that. I don't know why I chose it, I don't really like being called it...

Mine doesn't mean anything it was given to me by a fellow gamer. We used to play DOTA back then. early days.
